they had a house in the road opposite the oak near the nursery I think

Pound Park Road, loads of bikes always outside.

one of theirs was working/ running in the gatehouse pub one evening when it all went a bit pete tong and some locals from up by mulgrave came in and turnt it over not sure what it was over but the poor fella got his swede opened like a can

I took a few cracks rd the head with a pool q and took a bit of a doing but stood with him until it was done we both got it pretty bad tbh, he ended up in hospital for a few days I was in and out patched up

I went back to the gatehouse to help tidy it up and find out how he was, when I got there the amount of bikers there fixing things up and asking questions was mental, I got called up to meet this fella a huge man who tahnked me for not leaving his pal , we ended up in the hospital with the guy from the pub and boozing in his side room and I woke up in that house in pound park with a hang over worse than the hiding I took, good lads those HA's I left sth London about 10 mths later but always wonder what happened to them all

    Just checking you out.

Hells Angels England were formed in Charlton and East London, they drank in the Roupell (pickwick), so did we.
Sometimes they'd come to the covered end for some saturday afternoon drinking 'til the pub opened again at 5.30.
The current President of HA England comes from Charlton.

Terry (the Tramp) used to live just off Charlton Road - had a terrific bike outside his place

Yes, RIP Ian Pitman. How could I forget Ian Cartwright, Danny Green, The Martin brothers, Billy King, the Perfects family, Mark Sayer, Barry (became a Steward), Micky Norcott, Mick Gebbett, Steve Nelson, Paul Harley, Roy King, Les Turner, Stuart Morgan, Sid Smith and his brother...

Few of those on this site.
Billy Southgate was in the Lib pre-match on Tuesday.

I know his son is on this forum, but to me Les Turner is a Charlton terrace legend as by sight he is surely known to everyone who goes away regularly.

Never misses a game as far as I can see and always so upbeat. Remember sitting behind him on the coach when I was steaming that we had only drawn 1-1 at Walsall two years ago. He was telling everyone what a good point it was. Fair play to a true Charlton legend

    I'm here

I always say that the best turn out that we had was Chelsea away. Fatties in the shed. Remember them walking round the pitch with a police escort. True legends. As for the younger lot. A meet a chairing cross in the st martins tavern. Charlton everywhere. A skinful on there and then the tube to Fulham broadway. The tax man got nicked en route and missed one of the greatest days in our history. I went with one of my mates who was Chelsea. He couldn't believe the turnout.

When i saw him on a train - i suppose a few years back now - it looked as though he was having a tough time. He looked in a very dark place.

Last bumped into him a few years ago at bexleyheath. He was a shadow of his former self, was vacant and really looked to be struggling.

Isn't Chavvy Dave the bloke with a flashers mac? Seen at many away games over the years consuming cans of lukewarm Fosters?

Saw Bod Saturday at the Lib charity ska night, speak to John now & then, not seen Tony for a few years, his brother is smallwall if I remember rightly.

Got to laugh at this. Tony P's brother is a caricature Millwall fan. I was doing Jury Service at Southwark Crown Court when he came in and bowled up to me and my party of Jurors. After updating me immediately on Millwall's latest escapade at the top of his voice, I asked him what he was "in for." He looked at me quizzically and said "Jury Service." That was a long week.

Bet that week was interesting to say the least ;)
