Curbs just been on Sky Sports news.

He'd definitely take the job going by his comments and pretty much put himself forward for it by saying they were looking for a manager with lots of Premiership experience and he has plenty of that.

They said in the Sunday papers that Pulis is demanding £2 Million per year so he may have priced himself out of the job.Unfortunately I can now see this happening.

Wow. Those "thanks curbs" banners at old Trafford now feel like a sarcastic u-turn. He done a great job at Charlton but I see the man in a different light now. I don't think any less of him I'm just surprised by this. It's the only job he's openly pushed himself into since west ham..... and its palace!

Well he has done his year on the dole (figuratively speaking)!

That really is unpleasant viewing. It was disappointing enough seeing him not rule himself out of it in the first video, now he's all over it.
Anyone still want to tell me that "whoring himself out" is inaccurate?!

It's funny that whilst I have always respected & was most thankful for what Curbs, did for us, I have never warmed to him as a man.

In some ways I hope he gets the job he is so obviously desperate for and then completely f**ks it up. In my books that would be a win/win situation.

Can anyone else see a bit of David Brent in curbs?

That similarity does exist but it's hard to explain why.

    Agreed, and a bit porky!

    Happens to us all.
  • If he goes to Palace I won't like him while he is there and I will hope he fails. I feel a bit of hatred towards him at the minute for publicly throwing his name in to the hat.

When he's finished with Palace, whether he is a success or not, he will go back to being a Charlton legend.

Curbs youre my hero and youre not gonna get the job anyway. Why are you doing this. 15 years of blissful marriage and youre ruining it for some cheap instant gratification.

I blame Scott Parker. If he hadnt fucked off none of this would ever have happened and we d all be sunbathing in the Nou Camp like one big happy family.

No. He could have worked, but it would have had an adverse effect on the amount of compensation he could then have received as the tribunal would take current earnings into account. It was his choice to stay out of the market.

Hey! I just whored myself into £300 a day, working from home! This whoring lark has a lot to recommend it! They didn't say exactly what I was going to have to do, but apparently I get someone to fetch and carry for me and make sure nobody disturbs me while I'm working, too. What could possibly go wrong?

He turned down the Wolves job and if I recall correctly said he applied for Fulham and Birmingham jobs in the past. (May have been Villa, not Birmingham.)

Think if he gets it he will do a good job but I really don't want that to happen

Paul Hart 66-1 on Paddy Power.

EDIT: Curbs and Appleton both 33-1, Pardew 25-1, Dowie and Di Canio both 40-1 as is Millenium Dome Arse Hasselbaink.

Surprised he's still available at those odds after declaring an interest in it. Bookies clearly think he's got no chance however much he begs for it.

I know it's a running joke on this site but how does this clown get continually linked to jobs. He is sh*t.

Who would want to miss the opportunity to turn down a highly paid job these days when HMRC are happy to not tax you on it.

You can get 219-1 on Appleton on Betfair, so I wouldn't even consider him "linked".

    Curbs now 20-1 on Paddy...
  • I love curbs more than I hate palace

That sums it up very nicely, NLA.

I'd like to see him back in football management because he adorns the game and couldn't really care less where he gets a job. It won't undo my gratitude or appreciation for what he did for CAFC.

I think those odds will fall if Pulis who seems to be first choice turns it down.Along with Martin O'Neill he would qualify as an 'experienced' Premiership Manager.
