Big risk - let's hope Jacko has at least one more performance in him.

Makes selling Fox seems even odder given that Page looks to be absolutely hopeless.

At least Page gets to play, Dasilva doesn't even get on the pitch.
  • 3 years ago this month this thread was started- and tonight he starts!

I seem to be the only one who's quite pleased, I think he'll be fine.
  • I love Jacko he is a proper Charlton legend but he can't play left back.
The thing that puzzles me is why doesn't he tell Robinson that
  • I'm more than happy he's starting.

He's just starting in the wrong position.
  • Rather Jacko at CB than LB

    Odd isn't it.

Now people are questioning whether he should now be in the team for leadership and goals.

Recently most thought he was a spent force, as was Morgan Fox.

I personally think he should be involved, we are weak, no leadership and rudderless. JJ would help with all these at the mo...

We really cannot get much worse recently, is it 3 points out of 18?? if JJ was recalled, no doubt he would still get " his time is up".

Put him left back instead of Page.

    We could do worse....

Well, my Dad conceded to being pissed when he suggested Jacko at Left Back.

Next game, Robinson picks him there.

    LOL.
If we win, I was right

If we don't, I was pissed

Maybe he did but played on JJ's loyalty to twist his arm to do it. Knowing that Jj being the great character he is, would do anything asked.
  • When Jacko first came to us on loan (from Notts County), sure that
he started off as a left back before getting injured.
Sure that he will be fine tonight, decent captain!

I wish Page played as much as Dasilva !

    Agree and he'll score.
Henry's been LOL-ing all my posts recently.

    Folks, can I get a street-team
  • Is sounded like Jackson played alright, more the central defenders and midfielders this time.
  • Couple of the boys who were there said he was terrible, our defense got caught three times on the break.
  • I was there, he did OK at the start of the game but nothing special either. Difficult to pin any blame entirely on Jackson when all 4 goals conceded were so sloppy.
  • It's suicidal to play him at left back. Think he can do a job a bit further forward in the team.

He hasn't played for ages either so must have also been struggling for that match sharpness.

Noooooo. He's terrible at left back. He's already "played" there once this season and was awful.

Bring him on after 60 mins in midfield, he might be able to give us 30 mins.
Called it. I think it was the 2nd goal, where their player ran away from him, gliding across the grass, whilst Poor Jacko seemed to have found some quicksand. Just as well his legs haven't gone or he'd have drowned
  • Aw you swine, you beat me to it :-)
  • Get that new contract ready Katrien

  • Will always pop up with a goal. Still worth up to 15 of them if he played every game.

    And me!
  • Having a good game too not just scored the goal

Let's pray that this is the one game in a season when Jackson does something and the Jacko Brigade bump the Come In No. 4 thread with grand fanfare and backslappery. Because if he's our DM....I'm properly worried for us

    :)
  • I did say he was playing well before he scored btw
  • LB was ridiculous.

Cant argue his place in the team as captain at CM though, he looks so pumped.

I'm a time of players not giving a flying about the team, you need him in there.

I'm not sure he kicked the ball before or after his goal mind !

Took it beautifully though and it could be vital to our season.

Ahem........ played in the right role he's still massive for us - I doff my cap.

JJ took the kick off in the first half....
