I have watched Bailley live not two months ago and wasn't especially impressed. Distribution not great and tended to stay on his line. As cover for Pope I'd prefer to get Gough back. No 1, no way.

It says that Logan Bailly won't be with Oud-Hevelee Louvain next season. The club were relegated, can no longer afford his wages & he is free to leave. RD would be interested in his former player.
He could go to Liege, who have Japanese keeper Kawashima. If Kawashima stays, then Bailly could be loaned to Charlton

The same Connor Gough who played 2 games in two years for Bristol Rovers and wasn't deemed good enough for a team relegated to the conference. Good idea.

Yes. And I've seen both play. Belgians don't play so many high balls into box as CCC hence Thuram being lost on crosses. Doubt Bailley would fare much better. I recall a pinball moment in box where he was flapping like a beached fish.

If you want a "youngster" as cover, it would obviously be Dillon Phillips, wouldn't it ?

I thought Phiilips was better than Gough , but I would not want him to be second choice next season. He needs to go on loan somewhere and get games like Pope has.
I haven't seen Bailly so cannot comment . I agree with the point about crosses . Thuram did struggle with them as would many continental Keepers . However, on paper a 28 year old International goalie does seem an interesting option.
Saw Leuven beat Mons 2-0 in one of many play offs. Gough seemed agile and is big with potential to be an RD sell on. As for not playing keeper are different as managers go with who has the gloves until a run of clangers. Phillips too small to make it.
I have always posted Football Rumours on here not because I believed them , but I have enjoy the speculation and this thread is the place to dump everything . I know 90% of it is 12 year olds who play FIFA and Football Manager.
FR has very occasionally got it right in the past. Last year I remember reading about Ben Alnwick there before anywhere else. This window I have noticed they have changed their system so that names appear on all of the rumours. Someone called Scottyp posted about Babbel and Bentaleb , next week will probably determine whether we take him seriously or as I suspect ignore him in future.
When I posted about Pinto I identified it was from 'Stella'. So far he has only posted the Belgian rumours Lior Refaelov and Ivan Tričkovski , like Scottyp I suspect next week we will know whether he has genuinely got inside info although I have to say they feel at this stage as though they could be credible.
I see Damo made good his promise and someone else has a GSOH.
20 Jun 2014 23:53:30 Charlton will sign Marcus Bent on a free in the upcoming days, another potential buy could be Danny Kedwell however there is a LOT of competition for his signature. Blackpool are one of these clubs

20 Jun 2014 23:17:07 Charlton are in talks with Wes Hoolahan and hope to tie up a deal in the next week or so

More chance of signing Val Doonican.
Henry will be chomping at the bit to sponsor his cardigan ;-)

Picked this up from Twitter but couldn't translate . Does this mean Logan Bailly might go to Standard?

Don't play up front,
Oh Rod Fanni don't, play up front,
He's got a name like Andy Hunt,
But he doesn't play up front.

England aren't exactly well known for their quality goalkeeping themselves.
Mitov seems like a great prospect too, but I wouldn't want our 3 GK's to be Pope, Phillips and Mitov
