What's quite clear is that there is a gap for a party that holds both some labour and they values and policy that would piss to leadership if someone could form it

Well, if they had an option of saying "you're a cheat and i don't want to play this game you made anymore" on, say, the form of a ballot paper and use that hypothetical ballot paper to spoil your ballot... maybe that would be a good option?

Saying you don't vote and are proud of that is like going to a house night and spending all night telling people you don't like house music.

If no one in this country voted - do you think there would be justification for the current system? when you vote you opt in to the system.

When you opt in you are opting in for Child Abuse - you all know that right? that's what the government have been supporting/partaking in for years! and we just smile and vote them in again, as if it will all be OK in the next 4 years and our children will be made safer!.

When you opt in you are opting in for killing children all over the world - you all know that right? our government have supported and funded human trafficking and wars for years resulting in millions of innocent children being killed.

When you opt in you are opting in for mass corruption and greed - you all know that right? our government have supported the 1% at the top (i would say more like 0.00001% of the worlds population) with their eugenics policy's and the accumulation of wealth for the few, and the poverty of the many.

So put your head in the sand and your ass in the air! cause you may not be getting fucked in that ass now but you soon will be, if you keep opting in to this system!

NO ONE IS EXCEPT but the 1% (if you think you are in the 1% you are WRONG!)

More and more people everyday are realizing that people like (MAD MAN) David Icke and co were right in the 90s when they exposed the royal family and politicians for child abuse - ignore it for another 20 years and laugh at the nutters! but one day when it affects you directly there will be no one to stand with you and fight!

Vote who you want - but don't moan when the same shite comes running down the hill
What are the alternatives? I guarantee ALL are worse than the current situation.

When you buy food from a company do you then take complete and utter responsibility for one of the managers or employees in the company being a pedophile? No. Obviously not, that would be ridiculous. A lot like a few politicians 20 or 30 years ago abusing their position of power to gain access to children to abuse. You can make shocking statements and put them in bold, we can all do that. Making an emotional argument is dangerous and easy to do.

Do you even know what eugenics is? Please stop bounding around arguments that russell brand's youtube channel and a few seedy websites have filled your little head with.

When you DONT vote you give Nigel Farage and islamist extremists more power to their arguements. When you dont vote you piss away the work of generations of working class people to get the vote. You piss away the lives of millions of people who fought in civil wars, in world wars and in the middle east. Just for your own saviour complex that you think you're making a difference by sitting at home, wanking and playing football manager instead of voting.

How about you use your vote to bring about change. Rather than hashtag activism and posting this shit on a message board.

Indeed. As a Europhile he insisted on being part of the Exchange Rate Mechanism which was the forerunner of the Euro.

When he was reluctantly persuaded by saner voices to pull out interest rates returned to more sensible levels.

Given half a chance the LibLabCon would advocate more of the same although even they realise it would be political suicide to take up the Euro now.

What really is the difference between a spoiled ballot paper and a no vote?

Surely spoiled papers are seen the same as no vote - VOID?

No vote isn't recorded and requires no counting, a spoiled ballot has to be counted as such and recorded.

Knowing our politicians (no matter which party) surely they'll just assume the working class are becoming more idiotic. As you know we'll never be as smart as politicians think they are.

Love how Labour are still considered the party of the working class! I've worked hard and saved hard all my life, but always go backwards under Labour governments, yet prosper under conservatives. So Tory all day for me.
Also, I'd like to see a break down based on age, on the assumption that " if you're not a socialist at 20, you haven't got a heart. If you're still a socialist at 50, you haven't got a brain".

Some people don't only worry about themselves though QA. I was a Tory at 20 and at 50, after watching and learning, I'm very much a socialist ( so much so, I consider the Labour Party "Tory light" ) though I would probably be better off personally under the Tories.

I consider not only what's best for myself and my family, but also the nation. A bankrupt nation, drowning in a sea of debt, cannot support the needy who are unable to support themselves. A strong economy benefits everyone and the givers need to be supported as much as the takers in order to produce a strong economy.

The left will never understand/accept this, so you're wasting your time and I don't mean that in a rude way, to anyone.

insert emotionally charged retort to this statement.

It's just a case of peoples brains working differently and seeing different things as priorities. And that's not to put one above the other, it's just the way things are.

    THIS.

There seems a constant need to vilify those that give the most into the economy and an element of "punishing those rich bastards" from some of the left.

As with everything there needs to be a balance but the point above is entirely correct - a strong economy will benefit everyone and I can't see how solely looking after those less fortunate would give a strong economy. That's why encouraging people and offering opportunity to go to work and contribute to said economy should be the priority. I am not saying that's what is happening at present but we should be looking at how to help people maximise their potential rather than bumping up the welfare bill (which should be primarily there for people who physically cannot work) and giving more power to people such as the RMT who who hold London to ransom a couple of times a year and actually prevent economic growth through causing the capital to ground to a halt.

I thought this was poll page for who you are going to vote for. Shouldn't the ranting and comments be on the election thread ?
    Fair point. Sorry about that.
