A lot of cops in The States get shot as well......we all like to think we would have handled it differently......but until you are put in that position with precious little time to analyse what's about to happen then self preservation simply kicked in.
Not too sure about the racialism thing either in this instance.....my take is that had the victim been white then exactly the same scenario would have occurred.
IMHO, on this occasion, "there but for the grace of God go I" applies to both the victim and the cop.0 -

The American Constitution submits the people of America to a timelock on a lot of issues. Much like the religious texts that the West is fighting against.
There is a difference between a musket you have to reload every shot and a semi automatic weapon that can cause multiple fatalities and injuries in seconds...1 -
