Coles is suspended, D B-D, Rouse and Haggett are all injured and Latham can't play because we aren't allowed to have him and Rabada in the team so all the changes are actually enforced ones.

What's the rule that prohibits this, please ?
Surely the likes of Surrey have more than 1 overseas player in the team at any given time .
DBD said on tv that he should be fit to return this week.

One overseas player only in the County Championship ; has been for 5 years, or so

No favours from that Porter lad who has now taken two of those and five in the match. Perhaps the bribe of a Charlton season ticket from his Uncle might do the trick!
He's not in the one day squad but is in the T20 squad but as that isn't 'til the 5th July not sure if he's there for this series too.
On the other hand there might be an agreement for Kent to spare Billings the four day stuff whilst he has England commitments coming up. As Len says Rouse has done more than could have been expected of him.
Talking about keepers I see that 17 year old Ollie Robinson (formerly of Sidcup but now a Bexley player loaned to Beckenham - too long to explain!) has taken five catches and a stumping today for the 2nds against Somerset with one of his victims being one M E Trescothick. Edit - another, as has been pointed out to me, was Chris Rogers.
On a brighter note, young Ollie Robinson hit an amazing 251 today for Kent U17s against Sussex:

Have known Ollie since he was a baby and he is great kid. Talented too and hope he kicks on.
He has been "loaned" to Beckenham this season. Was at Sidcup (his Dad's Club and the one I played for during a 30 plus year "career") from 5-15 and then moved to Bexley (where Seb plays) last season where his Step Dad is coach - and for Premier League cricket as Sidcup are in the 4th tier.
Because he wasn't keeping in the first team at Bexley, Kent requested that he moved for the rest of this season to Beckenham to do so. Still plays for Bexley in their development side on a Sunday.
Used to go to Hurstmere but is now at Chis & Sid for his A levels. So very much a local lad. Unfortunately he is a Gooner.
Some stubborn resistance from Northeast (126*) & Treders (89*) as they put on 161 to date for the 8th wicket to take the score to 289-7 but still 73 behind.
Well done Treders for reaching his ton (102*) - his best in all forms of the game is 123* so he has something to aim for in addition to winning the game for us of course.
8th wicket partnership now of 178 with Northeast (132*)

can't see us avoiding defeat.

In check a One overseas player only in the County Championship ; has been for 5 years, or so
no centuries in that figure.
So we just trail by 348 runs at present.
Kent winning this game will really set down a marker for rest of the season.....
Rabada 4-118
Denly with impressive figures of 9.3-0-31-2. When compared to Treders 28-3-108-0 anyway.
23-2

Unfortunately as his twitter profile reads : professional cricketer and proud Hammer, living the dream.

Really nice guy.
Hope to see him go through the ranks at Kent.

Think Tredders 89 is his highest score
8th wicket partnership now of 178 with Northeast (132*)
306-7 but still 56 behind
