Don Kenyon, Basil D' Oliveira, Brian Brain, John Inchmore, Steve Rhodes, Graham Hick your boys are taking one hell of a beating!

    More's the pity.

No Tom Graveney, Jack Flavell or Len Coldwell either. Just listed the first few that came into my head.

Jack Flavell. indeed. I remember seeing him at The Oval with my father. As he ran into to bowl to Ken Barrington, my father was telling me how Barrington was very hard to get out. Ken's middle stump flew out the ground as my father finished his sentence.

Did Brian Brain's parents have a weird sense of humour!

His father was Basil Ganglia Brain. He went to Zoological University and stayed on the Hippo Campus. He later married Amy G Dala.

How come only the top team goes up from CC2 and 2 teams come down?

They're reducing the size of CC1

I'm hoping to get to Beckenham if the match is still going next Friday.

Kent cruising to victory, as Sussex slump to 118-5, so it's all down to Worcs to get a draw against Essex now...

Essex declared at 601-5, Westley was eventually run out for 254, otherwise he probably would have got a triple century!

Yet another step towards killing off red ball cricket. With 8 in Division 1 next year and 10 in Division 2, there will only be 14 fixtures per team next season. In Division 1, they will play each other twice, in Division 2, they will play some teams once and some twice.

It's to make way for more T20 cricket. The rumours are that April will be 50 over stuff, May, June and September will be County Championship and July and August will be T20. If it's a wet early summer like this year, the County Championship will be decided on about 6 games.

It's what the public want though.
