Agreed. From the start of the league one winning season onwards, there was a tangible sense of momentum, positivity and pride around the place.
Roland and his advisors never attempted to get a feel for this, but how could they? They could follow football for 80 years and still never get it beyond the balance sheet
What an interview - that cheered me up, brought a tear to my eye, made me feel down.......then made me laugh. That guy is just a Hero, he is a real Charlton Legend and Row-land Rat has taken that away from us.
I really hope he comes back at some point in the future (History shows that it is likely with him!)

Think SCP's work has been completely undone regardless of whether we stay up or not. He assembled a strong squad with a great team spirit that needed only a moderate amount of investment in order to be competitive at the top end of the Championship. We now have a bunch of misfits assembled at random, many of whom are tied to long contracts despite being nowhere near the required standard for this division, or English football in general. It'll require a complete rebuilding job once the Belgians have gone. Anyone know a manager who can build a competitive squad from scratch at short notice?!

All that said though - CP always said HE picked the team and players were NOT forced upon him so why the change of heart and why has it taken him so long to say it. We could have been protesting much earlier and harder.
