Burnley have to start thinking and behaving like a Premiership team and offer decent money for players. They got £150 mil for going up. Some of this money needs to go down the food chain. Stephens £6mil. Cousins £4 mil to replace him. It is how it should work, but Brighton will want to mug us off even if they get a decent fee.
No, Burnley have to start thinking and behaving like a Premiership team and offer money for decent players. Is Dale really the person you want in midfield in the Premier League, especially when you've got plenty of money to play with?
Burnley have had a £4m bid for Dale Stephens rejected
£4m? And what price did our super Chief Executive negotiate when she sold him to Brighton. £400,000 or thereabouts?
6 months left on his contract, when presumably he would have otherwise stayed until the summer and gone on a Bosman, that's the fault of the previous owners and financial meltdown which left no money for contract extensions
Katrien will have negotiated a sell on fee. Yes, she must have, surely
Still Astrid has proved a more than adequate replacement
But that would have taken some of her precious time, you need to consider that dfs have sofa sales in January.... Negotiate a good deal for sale Stephens or go sofa shopping, we all know the outcome

Yes. Brighton did well last season but the season before that Dale was out injured for most of it and they nearly went down. Not all down to him of course but he is a very good player.
I also think Burnley are looking to pocket as much as they can and are building a really strong team to go back up again if they don't get lucky.
Crewe fans on Twitter seem to think we're signing Harry Davis. Know absolutely nothing about him, quick Google and he's a 6'2 defender.
Rumoured to be signing David Davis as well, and after signing Ricky Holmes and losing out on Duane Holmes, maybe Slade has been told to sign players with the same name to reduce the amount of shirts he have to print with different names on?
So Simeon Jackson, Filip Novak, Dionatan Teixeria and Robert Bauer all to sign soon

Burnley took that approach last time, this season's they'll be targeting comfortable survival like Watford and (to a lesser extent) Bournemouth achieved

Oh why would you open that wound
I heart Astrit
Bad news. She's spending it on a throw and some scatter cushions for the sofa
