Doubt RD will pay out for too many expensive attacking players. Sounds like an RD signing, probably not too expensive, only one good season, down to Slade to get the best out of him.
I'd be happy with Simpson. Looks like the three uptop will have goals in them. I'm sure people will talk about creativity but what was Simpsons service like last season, or Ajoses at Swindon. Holmes should have a trick and a bit of magic about him and yes it would be nice to bring in someone central who can make it happen, but this is League One. Expect a lot of full backs clipping channels, winning possession high up and getting balls in the box. It ain't gonna be pretty, but it'll be effective.

Looking at one stats site... Both Dean Cox and Ollie Palmer got seven assists each in League Two for Orient last season.

Not a huge amount for 46 games. I'd be slightly disappointed if Holmes never got that by himself. Then factor in Harriott, Jacskon on set pieces.
In order for Harriott to get assists it would require him to beat the first man consistently which he has to prove this season.
Jackson on set pieces - can be a threat but I can't remember the last time he was consistently threatening. He was 30 when we were last at this level - he is about to turn 34 now. I won't say 'legs have gone' but we can't rely on him overly.

Ideally what we need is a couple of players being able to chip in.
Last season everyone faced knew that our creativity would come from Johann so doubled up on him... That'll soon happen with Holmes

Cox was out injured all season from October
If we could only have one I'd much prefer Cox (Shut it you dirty bar stewards) over Simpson
Good quote from Slade which confirms once again that Simon Clark will be remaining part of his coaching setup: between Kevin and Simon Clark I think we have two really capable coaches that will only help to make us a better team.

Seems a very good appointment.
Experienced in this division, in English football and knows the manager.
Lets hope he's the only assistant we have compared to the six we had last season
Plenty of coaching/backroom links between Charlton and Luton, with Nathan Jones, Paul Hart and Jared Roberts-Smith at Luton, and us now taking Kevin Nugent from them!
Good news. Also good that he's managed to get out to Austria for the tail end of the week, so he can start to get to know the players and see for himself what is needed in terms of reinforcements.
"Nugent began his playing career with the O’s, making 94 league appearances and scoring 20 goals between 1985 and 1992. From there, he joined Plymouth Argyle and would spend three years in Cornwall, before switching to Bristol City and then Cardiff City."

Only League Two but you could say the same thing about Holmes.

Plymouth is now in Cornwall apparently!
Who writes that shit on the CAFC web site, joke of a club.
What does any of it matter until the cretins that own and run our club leave
