  • v good keeper

    Not anymore.

Pre-Season friendly vs Bromley he was ironically cheered off the pitch and booed throughout. Seen at Millwall as one that's hung on for a final pay check but should have left 2 seasons ago.

Russell Slade and the first-team squad will meet and greet fans in the North Stand lounge from around 5.30pm

Why not get some new signings done and then do this sort of event?

this sort of event has been crowbarred in precisely cos they haven't/can't/won't get any signings done.
Latrien or Cojones has twigged that there is absolutely nothing left to spin up in any sort of positive way so they've ordered the players out as canon fodder in the hope that the smiles on the faces of a few (too young to appreciate the toxic pantomime) starstruck kids will appease the baying rabble.
Smells like a massive own goal to me. Wheeling out the players around 5:30 i.e. 45 minutes after the game finished, risks there being about a dozen hardy souls lingering. The attendance at the match will be piss poor anyway.

It's not written very well but do I understand correctly "supporters need to purchase tickets to the game and show these in order to collect a wristband to access the day’s activities..." (plus the £1 'donation') means that the Family Fun Day ain't free to attend? Even Johnnie Jackson's talent for diplomacy is gonna be overstretched by this...

I'll read the official and eye-witness reports with interest, masochist that I am.

Who said "heaven knows I'm miserable now?"
  • I agree, don't think Forde is the answer. There is obviously a major problem going on here. Not offering enough wages, not subsidising enough of the wages, players themselves not interest, whatever but it's farcical, it really is.
  • I really think that RD is stripping out all of the players with any value. Why would he do this? He is not spending a penny on transfer fees on any Incomings. I can only find one logical reason for this and that he is thinking of selling the Club. Perhaps Rio Ferdinand is right.
  • If there is nobody else in for tomorrow's game then I almost wonder if there is something sinister going on here. It's so ridiculous -y no goalkeeper, u21s all over the squad, a past it Jacko and Crofts in the midfield.

By not doing anything about it are they just trying to get one over on the fans? Stripping assets before selling? Cashing in with no care for how we do this year?

Meire has been silent as well.

To be honest i prefer it when she is quiet because then you don't have to listen to her rubbish. I doubt she will do a speech on the pitch this season at the first home game.

He's paid for Holmes and Ajose. So, as much as i can't stand the man, he has spent something..... Nowhere near enough by any means (and i feel dirty defending him there), but he has spent.

Was about to say the same though the club have more than recouped that spend with the sale of Pope let alone the others

I agree with you, but just saying he has spent something rather than nothing.

agree, I Just think its the same arrogant Rat who thinks he knows best and that the third tier of the English league will be easy to get out of and the kids will be fine.

  • Was down at The Valley picking up friendly tickets for tomorrow and can confirm absolutely sod all was happening, apart from a few youth hanging out by the badge on the back of the North Stand, catching Pokémon

Maybe those signings are a percentage up front, plus the remainder in annual instalments over the length of contract?
It's a very common way of paying transfer fees.

Should Roland Rat sell the club, then his current financial investment in transfers is minimal - and the next owners pick up the tab for the rest as instalments fall due.

Good thinking, getting in early in case they sell out.
    Getting disabled ticket actually

Don't think it's been 'crowbarred' in, they do it at most of the fun days!

True but if so it seems odd to only announce it 24 hours before KO.

Almost as if it were a last minute decision.

Could have got Forde on Loan from Millwall.

David Forde has left Millwall to join Portsmouth on a season-long loan.

I thought he was off to East Anglia after his holiday in Capri. His girlfriend is very attractive, a lot blokes say "Cor, Tina is beautiful"; other blokes say she looks like an escort.

If he could focus and trimmed his coarse hair, he would be popular. As the girls say in Thailand "Sawadee Ka".
  • Ive had a crazy day workwise and not normally in the know, someone at works son was interviewing Slade today, i asked about players and they said they overheard him on the phone he was looking to get 6 players in, didnt say by when or anything else im afraid.... but thought i would share

You misheard, he said a six. After the success of bringing back Roger Johnson from India, they're back in for Andre Bikey.
