This Colin obsession used to be funny but now it is ruining this thread.
So stop going on about it. You're only encouraging him to say evermore silly and outrageous things by sticking up for him.
The only thing that will make him go away is for people to stop biting at everything he says. He will get bored and the problem will go away. It's very simple.

Yes, so why don't you stop going on about it. Practice what you preach.
Colin has every right to express himself on this forum. If you disagree with what he says, then you should respond rationally and argue intelligently - and quit the sneers and abuse. I recommend all us Lifers to click on the archive button at the top of this page, and whizz back to read the origins of the forum itself. Those early posts are steeped in the qualities of enquiry, opinion, exchange of information, and - crucially - courtesy.
There is too much moral grandstanding going on. A man is nudged in the street by a Palace supporter, is inexplicably offended, starts a new thread to vent his spleen, and it spirals into idiotic abuse.
May we all reflect on two examples. When Diego Poyet left us for West Ham there was a vast outpouring of abuse, pages and pages of opprobrium. He was "disloyal", and much, much worse. Actually, he was a young man offered a good living for life. The fact that he shipped ten goals in a week at MK Dons, was passed back to us - a familiar home, if you like - and was completely and utterly anonymous in our fight against relegation, speaks for himself. Poyet is not a good player. It's called Schadenfreude.
Do you remember the way back from Watford, the appalling 5-0 capitulation, when a bloke bearded Meire on the train? There was a moral outrage on this forum: it was simply indecent for a supporter to ask searching questions of an unescorted lady - and in a public place! He was a violent nutter, drunk and deranged! Three months later, this forum was swilling with the most crass personal abuse: Meire is a cow, a slag, the devil incarnate. Actually, that bloke on the train was bloody right.
Duchatelet and Meire will go soon: our tremendous campaign of disruption and refusal will piss them off. Meanwhile, we in the Lower North want some footballing action. I have watched Charlton for 50 years and Jackson was right when he accepted the blame for relegation - the team, not the regime. They themselves failed us with their despicable lack of ability and responsibility. No more vapid midfield, no more strikers immobile as if carved in stone: I'm relying on Novak and Ajose to frighten the bloody life out of defenders - and put it in the onion bag.
Colin is an oddity he acts and posts in a manner designed to irritate people, yet if anybody bites they are the ones frowned upon. This great site needs a mute button.

Let that sink in...

That's as long as it'd take to help him reach that milestone.
I thought I had a lot?
Hardly inspiring or one for the future but probably can do a job in league one.
not a very reliable site
Heard he has a great spring
I hope he doesn't bottle out of any tackles
Where did this news filter down from?
Etc. Etc.
If Brighton & QPR are keen this will hopefully increase any potential fee.
