"It's great I've got the backing of the people that matter."
Not the best choice of words when your fan base is calling for your head.
Imagine if Nathan Jones had said words to a similar effect after losing to our rivals and not being too popular anyway, my word.
Bolton are not even doing that badly. Point outside the play offs with a game or 2 in hand
Was thinking the same, it's not as if they're sat 14th playing terrible football and not scoring many goals.......
League 1 seems very poor this year - I suspect most clubs fans from 7th downwards will be unhappy with quality of football and league position. Does make it more frustrating to not be taking advantage of it. I’m not sure what the answer is, but I don’t yet think sacking another manager is it.

The fans were restless after their slow start, as we know they were not performing because we beat them. However things are getting back to normal now and they will be in and around the playoffs.
The fans have settled down and he is doing a good job
The club is said to want a manager who can bring some solidity and discipline to the squad after the heavy defeat by Spurs.
The classic rebound from one style of football to a completely different style. Interesting that he could have got the job 2 years ago instead of Jones. If they hadn't approached Jones, would he still be at Luton?
Club sources say Juric was one of two options in the frame as Ralph Hasenhuttl's replacement when Nathan Jones was appointed in November 2022.
Would be typical for us to interview Alex Neil, decide to appoint Jones instead who is doing badly, then Alex Neil to go to Millwall and so well.
Alex Neil doesnt inspire me - Like you, the bloke also has a first name for a last name!! (Even if it is a great one) - Proper wrong if you ask me!!
Think he did better at Sunderland than Stoke partly because it was more of a 'Head Coach' role at Sunderland and Manager at Stoke so he had more say over transfers and it went wrong
If it's true Millwall are not leaving transfers to the manager it might be a decent fit.
Bizarre appointment by Southampton, given the guy was just sacked after only 12 games for being terrible at Roma.
Looking at his time at Genoa is amusing though, being sacked THREE times by the same club in less than 2 years must be some kind of record.
On 28 June 2016, Jurić was appointed as head coach of Genoa. Despite victories against AC MIlan and Juventus he was sacked on 19 February 2017 after a 0–5 defeat against bottom-placed Pescara.
He was reinstated as Genoa manager on 10 April 2017 and guided Genoa to safety with one game to spare following a 2–1 victory against Torino. The following season, he was dismissed again on 5 November 2017 after a 2–0 defeat in the Derby della Lanterna.
On 9 October 2018, he was appointed manager of Genoa for a third time. On 6 December 2018, he was sacked again after losing to third tier Virtus Entella on penalties in the Coppa Italia.
A good appointment, but also a pragmatic one. Many owners are keen on the team playing attractive passing football, until they're threatened with relegation, upon which they bring in someone to organise the team and grind out clean sheets...

Context here.
They've finished top6 in back to back seasons. They now sit outside the top6 with a negative goal difference, playing poor football.
Every team that currently sits above them, they were above last year except for the two newly relegated sides, whether it be league position, or the 2 teams who were in in the league below.
They also have one of the better squads in this league. They are massively underachieving atm, and choked autos last year.
If I was in their position after the last 3 years, I'd be pissed off as well.

He's not doing a good job, I just posted above why. If you also look at social media, and the general reaction, it isn't positive. Here's just a few screen grabs from their latest post:
Those are not reactions from fans from a club that's doing well. I'd honestly argue that they're worse than us considering their projections, their last two seasons, and that they've built 4 seasons or so to amount to this. I'd be livid if we had Jones for 4 years and were watching the likes of Wycombe, Wrexham, and Stockport above us, pissed off as is.

Hopefully not if he does go there!
