Seems odd that the deal was signed in October but kits aren't ready for mid-July

It's frankly piss poor. Expected nothing less than this from Katie.

I just don't understand what the hold up could be. If it was a delay in lining up a sponsor then fine but that isn't the case. Hummel seem to be a well run company and I'd expect a Scandinavian firm to have their shit together. Which does leave the club but just why?

Katie was too busy choosing the new couch.
  • Surely the hold up is to launch it with the opening of the new shop. Is there even an online shop at the moment for them to sell from? Expect that's the reason.

Don't know if this is serious or not but what has it got to do with her? The deal was done and there's a committee dealing with it all. She probably has very little control over when it's released.
  • A five year deal for a company like Hummel is probably very attractive so quite why the club some nine months ago didn't stipulate delivery dates in the contract is a bit baffling.

Are Hummel responsible for the shop now? Or are the club running it?

Yes, there's no club shop to sell the kit in at the moment, and it's not as if Sports Direct are waiting to fill their shops with our kit!

or we are waiting for Reeves or some other "marque signing" to sign on the dotted line so he can model the new kit.

Well, at least lining up some interviews....

Is white and black the same as black and white?

Is white and red the same as red and white?
  • So let me get this straight. This is a white version of our training kit which is a catalog kit, which will be worn for 3 pre season friendly's (and never again) and is similar to our 3rd kit which won't be on sale and will only be worn in emergencies (whatever a football kit emergency is?).

Our actual home away and third kit haven't yet been released.

    Is that it?

    Yes...

    Simple really!
  • Remember the good old days? Things were much simpler then. Eight blackjacks for a penny and the first sighting of the new team kit was in a team photo in the Mercury.
  • I don't understand all the wailing and gnashing of teeth...

I can't remember a time that the kit was available before the Welling game...

Wasn't there a season where three different designs were in the club shop window and we could vote for our favourite? I remember it being the last home match of a season.
That all said, I may be wrong.

Available, no. But at least we had seen it before then.

2003/2004. Joma. Had the long sleeved home shirt and proudly wore it that afternoon.

    It's not that difficult

She micromanages everything, well everything easy that is.

Used to be in the program before the season ended... and that was proper bespoke kits.

How about the year some one parachuted on to the pitch wearing the new kit a few years back. Was that the promotion season?
  • Slater/Jimenez ownership vs Duchatelet
  • In the 90s I'm sure we often wore the incoming kit on the final day of the season
