If we go on a successful run that gets us promoted, what will CARD do then? What if the same were to occur next season? Do the protests continue in spite of our league standing? If the club starts being run in a way that sees success in the league, I'm not sure CARD will have a leg to stand on.
P.s this isn't me sticking up for anyone as we need shot of Roland as his "ownership" is doing nothing for us. We're not challenging for anything yet this season therefore lessons are not showing to have been learned at all. We in my opinion need to better a 9th place championship finish for the protests to stop and prove that the club are really trying for success.
I no longer go to the Valley also I haven't been a season ticket holder for some time for geographical reasons. According to this site about 5k still do go and they deserve respect as fellow Charlton fans. There are many ways that CARD can protest and stopping the game has been done and done well. It is now time to find other forms of protest and allow those who do attend to "enjoy" their match
One more thing, I never want Charlton to loose whoever the owner may be and I do find it difficult to understand those of you who don't care about the results of our club, but each to their own.

Oh dear!

Nooooooooooooooooooo!!!
The regime have set about dismantling everything that this Club stands for and both Meire and Duchatelet have treated the fans and the previous history and ethos of the Club with utter contempt.
They can never ever recover the trust of the fans IMO and any success achieved on the field will be in spite of them not because of them.

I agree I have joined in with the protests and think they have been well thought out and delivered. I do think now they need to be outside the ground or before and after the game and we need to start to rebuild the match atmosphere. Take Leeds as an example they never stopped supporting the team during the games and slowly slowly they are winning their club back. We need to do the same

The only chance Roly has of turning this around is by sacking Meire and bringing in a competent SMT. We may get promoted this season, with the squad we have we should, but it was take serious investment and a complete turn around to even compete in the Championship. It's not going to happen. If they were serious then why appoint O'Loughlin only last week? The reason is he was to be Manager but even KM realised that would be a disaster but even so he was appointed coach, before they had even spoken to Robinson, and make no mistake he'll be jettisoned in when Robinson goes. They have had three years of mistakes and still people give them the benefit of the doubt. Beyond reason in my opinion.

Seconded.
And I will back this up by saying that if Roland is in it only for the money (which I'm not convinced of), he has a far better shot of recouping it in the Championship and moving on. To me that seems just as feasible as any other solution.

What would those other forms of protest enatil then, any ideas? Oh that's right you don't agree with any of them do you. Quite happy with the way the club is progressing? Happy that crowds are disappearing?

Something less disruptive to the enjoyment of the tens of thousands flocking to The Valley. A cake sale perhaps? Or a bring-and-buy sale? How about some nice, but small, badges (without pins as the happy-go-lucky stewards might not let you in). Or you could write a polite letter to that lovely Ms Meire as she has promised better engagement with fans and she is a lady of her word.

I'd like to see my team play in uninterrupted games for many years to come. I'd like my kids and grandchildren to be able to see our team play in uninterrupted games for many decades to come. But that may not be possible with RD and KM running the club, so sorry if there are interruptions (I have no idea if there will be!) but it's simply short term pain for long term gain.
Yeah let's have 3 or 4 hold ups.Lets see if we can get a Points deduction.FFS.I want the regime out as well - but the team comes first .Great job what CARD did in Belgium and more of the same really brings it home to him.Stopping a game he probably is not watching won't!
The hold ups may not have been seen by Roland but he will certainly have heard about it. My friends in America and Australia have heard about it through social media such as Twitter. None of them support Charlton.
I find some of the comments from the last two pages deeply disturbing.
2 wins in a row and people are starting to talk about when we're in the championship, and when RD and KM have brought success back to the club.
WAKE UP FFS!
It's a false dawn. The same as all mini runs we've gone on under this regime. It will not last.
I understand fans, professional footballers and the media not associated with our club misunderstanding what CARD are doing. But come on Charlton fans mentioning 'match results' as a positive outcome is pathetic.
It's too late for us to be fully happy with a winning run in the league. By all means enjoy the win (especially as us scoring 5 is as rare as Kashi in a Charlton shirt), but don't see it as those wins are detrimental to CARD.
We're stronger together. Let's get this regime out!
PWR. I support the aims of CARD and I have supported them throughout all the previous protests, even though I was not always present. In view of the excellent result at Bristol allied to the fact Nugent will remain as 'manager' and the importance of the game V Sheff. Utd. May I request whatever CARD has planned for Saturday, they do nothing to affect the match whilst it is being played. Protests before, after and even at half-time would be acceptable to me. But please don't ruin this game.

You're not going to draw me into another pointless debate Nugget!
You know I am one of the minority on here in my views of what is going on, unfortunately this site has been taken over by blinkered extremists and is not the site for good debate that it once was!
I have no intention of coming up with any ideas for your protests as I don't support them!
I enjoyed Lancsaddicks more than fair views and commented so, perhaps you should read it yourself!
Blinkered extremists? Okay mate you carry on supporting the decline. Thankfully there are plenty of fans not prepared to let these owners totally destroy everything that was built in the past. I'd say the future of Charlton isn't pointless though, wouldn't you?
Well said Essex Al and you are not in the minority
He is very much in the minority.
The majority want to support a community-focussed club with a full stadium, in The Championship at least, with a team made up of players who understand what it means to play for Charlton, staff who understand that supporters are stakeholders rather than customers and a youth policy which aims to produce players to represent our first team.
The minority, who don't support the protests, appear to want to support a club playing in an empty stadium, in League 1, changing its manager 3 times a season, developing players to sell on at the first opportunity, treating its customers with contempt and with aspirations which don't extend beyond finishing above the relegation places in the Championship (and they couldn't even manage that).
Utterly, utterly weird to criticise people who are trying to make sure that there's still a club left for future generations to support.

I completely disagree. If you think that there are many ways that CARD can protest, other than stopping the game and still be as effective in the eyes of the wider world, then please contact CARD with your suggestions. I personally think that every one of the protests that have resulted in match stoppages have been a success and I hope that there will be more to come. I do respect those fans that still go, my brother is one of them, but I cannot bring myself to give money to the regime (other than the Coventry game, when CARD asked boycotters to attend). With regard to never wanting Charlton to lose then I have to say, as much as it hurts me, that I do. As long as we do not get relegated (that would just hurt too much) then I am happy to see us lose matches (except Millwall!). I really don't want Meire or Duchatelet presiding over a promotion, because we would never hear the last of how his lordship's vision is working and we would never be rid of them (I don't accept that he is more likely to sell if we are a Championship club).

This short period of time provides a genuine platform to make the views of many many supporters known.
If we sing Roland Out when were losing 'its only about results'
If we sing Roland out when were winning or have just scored 'its the wrong time'
If we sing Roland out at away games 'were not supporting the team'
We know it causes embarrassment to the regime.
We know from results and comments it causes no distress to the players
It may just also inform Karl R the depth of concern among the supporters a little more than he has so far understood.
No protests will only suggest that all is ok, 2 wins and were yours, keep up the good work.
This club is in a terminal decline whilst RD, KM and co remain at the helm and no amount of fresh starts will change that.
if we fail to protest and don't win I will hold CARD responsible
