Where there is Katrien there is hope
Program notes opening day of the 14/15 Season - we have learnt from our mistakes, the time to judge is now, there is nowhere to hide - That went well......
Talksport Interview October - we have learnt from our mistakes, we now have the right man in place in RS who has our full backing - Well maybe not ......
Bromley Addicks cosy pre match chat - Ademola Lookman will not be sold in the January transfer window - Oh hang on...
To anyone who will listen - This club is not for sale - To be continued....?
Still lets see what the end of January brings before we all agree in the summer that they have turned a corner and KR deserves a full pre-season before we judge him/them13 -
lying about that tooGarrymanilow said:
She also said the club's not for sale, so if 'not for sale' means 'until someone offers me the right amount of money' then I'd be quite gratefulseth plum said:
In response to previous questioning Katrien said Lookman wouldn't be leaving. The Red Robin said:I wonder if any future payments and clauses will go to Charlton or Starprix. Should show on the club accounts next year shouldn't it? A question for Katrien at her next fan meeting perhaps.
Is there any point in listening to her?

Thing is we all knew beyond all doubt he would be sold. It's like a game to her to see how stupid she can imagine we are. He is going places and none of us begrudge him the move. The certainty she said he wouldn't go was comical. Everyone knows everyone has their price (except Parker, he was irreplaceable amd yes I'm still bitter about that one) but if I'm honest I'm not going to get worked up about some gibberish Miere has spouted. I'm just upset it's money for Staprix and not us per se6

No way.......undisclosed?!?0

Charlton CEO Katrien Meire said: “We have a fantastic academy here and it is testament to everyone at the club that Charlton continues to develop high-quality young players.
absolute bollocks
“Our intention was not to sell Ademola, we are very sad to see him go and our long-term ambition is that we get ourselves into a position where our talented young players, even when there is interest from Premier League clubs, want to stay with us.”

more bollocks spouted. 7th in bringing academy players through to the first team, 1st in then selling them at the first opportunity21

You mean like a top half Championship club that had finished three points off the playoffs the season before you arrived Katrien? Something like that maybe? A position you already had but have destroyed because you're so inept at your job. Just leave. Sell the club. You've failed. Again and again and again.25 -

Just seen the deal has been confirmed on our official site. Says 'undisclosed fee' predictably. If I hear anything more about the real fee from our side, I'll pass it on13

don't worry it's already been passed on to our owner, the Cloob will see none of itRoyalBlue said:Just seen the deal has been confirmed on our official site. Says 'undisclosed fee' predictably. If I hear anything more about the real fee from our side, I'll pass it on

I think KM was wrong abut Ade staying. It's good to know our CEO has her finger on the pulse of the clooob.0

Is 49 appearances for us an unreasonable amount for someone with that much potential? I know we are moaning about our youngsters being released too soon but Ademola was being scouted from game one so you could argue that 49 games and, if it is to be believed, a fee of £10m means we haven't done too badly. We are in league one after all.
The real problem, as has been mentioned once or twice, is where that money goes now..............

Can we get her on Mastermind (I almost suggested the Celebrity variety, but I'm afraid she's more likely to be Celery) with her specialist subject being all the things she has learned?2 -
4/11/15: “My proposition would be a real unique football fan experience — and see hopefully the next stars of the Premier League, which we will have play for Charlton in the first team and then sell onto the Premier League.”

Meire cannot stop lying.26 -
Shout out to Karel Fraeye for unearthing this gem from our youth team.26

She's a mess.
I don't know how fans are still attending meetings with her when she continues to blatantly lie and twist everything.
But good luck to Ademola, what a great opportunity for him.2 -
if (and a big if) the fee is £7.5m rising to £11m, then that's great money - and certainly not to be turned down.
the big factor really is what happens to the money....
best of luck Ade, personally think he's gone to the 'biggest' club he could've done where he might actually get prem game time almost instantly3 -
glad he's joined Everton, a proper football Club, would have hated to see him at Chelsea, Arsenal, West Ham etc. Good luck Ade, you are better off out of it.22
-
Good luck Looky - you signed off with a match-winning goal, and we hope to welcome you back to the Valley one day.4

She was wrong to state it but things change, I don't think any of us begrudge this move and I'm surprised he lasted this long.
He would also have been advised externally for his own good he needed away from here now1
