Think we should start protesting again , so the lame fans and Robinson have a fresh excuse to blame our wank form on . You know when we sing “we want Roland out” and we should be backing them , it’s all the protesting fans fault that we are a pissy joke of a club
yes we are c!oser than ever before to be sold by RD but I stand by the fact that we are not going to see it before it's mathematically certain what league we will be in and it's RD dictating that not the buyer
The good news is, just one more defeat and we'll be sold by Sunday.
Says it all! Robinson backed RD& KM to the hills and then moaned when they inevitably screwed him over... he’s done the same with Murray who now seems to have been economical with the truth!
What next, Lorraine on reception hasn’t been forwarding his calls?
If there is indeed anyone left on reception now!
True story - when I rang the club last season the main reception desk phone was answered by a junior security steward who said he had been asked to man the phones - I doubt things have improved. The above was when Meire was CEO of the club of course...........
If prospective purchasers are waiting on duche deciding when to sell (when we know the division) then why is their no evidence of them being around the club? By this i mean, watching games, analysing the first team etc.
There are any number of scouts at games. You wouldn't know who they are or who they represent.
That's true. But take last night as a poor example. (500 hundred plus round trip - so if they were going to miss a game it would be that one). However with a takeover close I would have expected at least one or two of them to be on the Charlton guest list. The only names on the list were the Parkes.
By the time new owners take over we will have a potential scenario that would look like this-: No CEO, No CFO, No manager (think his time is done), players looking to leave asap, dwindling support, a team stuck in League 1. Is this part of RD's plan to completely knacker the club before getting rid, some kind of weird payback plan? We can only hope that whoever the new owners are they wont allow RD to destroy their purchase, otherwise we are screwed!!
If the players are worried about their futures, why aren't they performing to a level that might get them noticed by other clubs? Or at least by any potential future manager/owner.
Human nature because there is no end date. If the takeover was definitely thought to be next week then we'd see an improvement in player performance. A sort of new regime bounce.
Whether Robinson is correct (and that's a big "if" with pretty much everything this bloke says) what strikes me as interesting is that he is comfortable publicly contradicting his boss.
In normal circumstances that move would be outrageous but is indicative to the absolute lack of leadership, and respect, at this football club both on and off the pitch. Robinson is both a victim and a perpetrator of this situation.

I agree 100% with this. If there’s any chance Norbert Colon Duchâtelet can squeeze any more cash out of CAFC, then that’s what he’ll try to do. Whether he’s being realistic or not in banking on a promotion charge at this point is another matter.
It’s almost as if Robinson and the team are trying to extinguish this possibility
I'm not quite sure why Robbo is being dug out for what he's saying regarding the "take-over", it just looks to me as though he's answering what he's been asked with what he's been fed be it bullshit or not, it don't read to me like he's claiming to be completely ITK when it comes to the "take-over", unlike some on here, who don't seem to get the same shit as he does for not getting things on-point with their updates. And all said and done, it ain't his job to update us on "take-over" news, it's his job to manage the team and talk about what goes on on the pitch. If you think he's a shit manager, then fair enough, but, despite the last couple of weeks, I still don't think he's done bad considering the cards he's been dealt while he's been in the job.
Quite an amazing statement, and at the same time thoroughly depressing. We just have to find a way to up the ante. I think the ROT party is a great idea. I also think we need more protests here and in Belgium (he's had it too bloody easy this season), and how anyone can contemplate buying a season ticket is just beyond me. Not a penny more!
All the time Roland remains you could dress a pig in a Macron jacket and stick it in the technical area and it would do as good a managerial job as anyone else we could get. Managers don't get to manage under Roland.
The only thing Robinson COULD do is drop his shitty system. He won't though and, understandably from his perspective, is just hanging on for his pay off. The situation is win win for him. He's taken over a 'basket case' and competed for a while before it all went belly up. The wider game of football will judge him kindly and he should be employed again after us.
Won’t make any difference what formation we play. The players have lost all desire, and probably all self belief, it seems.
Robinson might be a poor manager, but he seems to be the only one at the club who gives a shit at the moment. Murray wants his money back, so is keeping quiet at a time when we need an interim leader. Who else is there who could give the club and supporters something positive to hang on to? We don’t even know whether to protest any more.
As you said, football will remember how we did well before injuries and sale talk ‘derailed out season’. But we never had the depth of squad to survive all but the most minor of blips. And Robinson didn’t have the flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
Are you related to KR? Even now you're happy to trot out the same tired excuses.
The club has been in dire straits before and as I'm sure you are aware we're playing in L1 where most teams have issues and limited resources.
He's failed - not much else to say. If Karl was being honest he'd have to admit that.
If the players are worried about their futures, why aren't they performing to a level that might get them noticed by other clubs? Or at least by any potential future manager/owner.
Because their agents will have sorted their future with another club and they will be ensuring they don't get injured - is what Robinson is really saying
As things stand, his rumours have proved to be as substantiated as anyone's. Edit: with the exception of NLA, who I seem to remember has been sceptical of an 'imminent' takeover from the beginning.
All very depressing. Just hope the takeover gets sorted before June because no decent manager is going join our club. If it drags on then RD isn’t going to pump new money into the transfers and sadly players will leave and poor quality players will join. Desperately need a new owner otherwise I only seeing us fighting relegation next season

That’s exactly the direction of travel and I don’t think we should wait until we’re facing that prospect to act. There needs to be protests now, there’s no point debating, waiting to see what will happen or more platitudes from Murray. If someone will buy us they will, it’s clear what the protests are about.
We’ve drifted through this season on repeated promises and glimmers of hope, in August we were told there was money to spend but prices ramped up because of who we are, then we were told that Karl would be backed In January if we were challenging - then the club is up for sale and no investment to be made.
We’ve been strung along the whole season and I’m personally not prepared to waste another season seeing how it goes - it’s this kind of malaise that kills clubs, we’re terminal and need help quickly!
Another brilliant KR quote. “We have created quite a good mentality” and “there is a negative mentality” all in the same quote. This type of thing is very common in KR interviews and what I have said from very near the start of his reign.
Whether you like him or not / rate him or not,; there is simply no point in listening to/believing or trying to analyse the complete drivel and contradictory nonsense he speaks each and every week at press conferences since he has been here.

A Scouse Donald Trump wannabe. Where will he go next?
Is it possible that RD has had his bells rung about possible sell-on deals for Gomez, Pope and Gudmundsson? Even a 10% pay-back could be worth significant amounts to him prior to a sale (if the amounts are due to the club and not to RD himself, as he negotiated at Standard). Gomez is being valued this week at c£50m, and JBG at c£20m. Bearing in mind we sold them both for a combined £5m, any sales could net RD between £2m - £10m, and that might be one reason he is hanging on (knowing that any losses incurred this season may be covered and then some...)? Add a Konsa sale too, and he could still see a massive payday prior to his exit, sadly.

If the takeover doesn't go through by the summer then the club is completely f***ed.
