    Great news page is ok

Yep. Unfortunately though a hamstring injury for Fosu.
  • A great team performance and a well deserved win over a Pompey side who were made to look ordinary by our quality and especially work rate.

It’s interesting that the tactics were changed over last Saturday, with Amos going long far more often. He was superb in the second half incidentally,
  • Fantastic day out and so impressed with that performance. The atmosphere was unbelievable and I chose well for my first away match of the season.

Every player can be elated with their performance but special mention to Amos and Kashi. How the hell did Amos save that deflected free kick?!

Our defence stood very firm during the pummeling from Pompey in the 2nd half. Reeves very unlucky not to score and we could have put it to bed easier but hey. It's a well fought win at a very tough ground.

    Roll on Blackburn.
  • Love it lads! So pleased for the travelling fans, about time we won in front of a big crowd.

Don't know what has been done/set up differently defensively for us now - I make that only 4 goals conceded in 9 games

Great result - Still not 100% in our own hands but would rather have the points on the board at this stage of the season than be in Plymouth's position. As said above it looks like the pressure is getting to them - Never did think they were all that just had a bit of form for a few months can easily see them falling away.

Not true, two wins guarantee play offs
Not trying to piss on bonfires but that's not 100% accurate; It all comes down to the result of Plymouth/Scunny match - if they draw that one and all three teams win all remaining games it comes down to goal difference - we have 4 higher than Plymouth at the moment and 4 worse than Scunny.
I actually think a Plymouth win is worst case scenario for us and Scunny win is best.
So even if we win both games against Blackburn and Shrewsbury... if Scunthorpe beat MK Dons and Bradford & Plymouth beat Rochdale, Rotherham and Gillingham by two goals in each game and then Scunthorpe and Plymouth draw, we miss out on goal difference?

Might be worth a sixfold 50p acca.

Will post a more thorough report tomorrow but that was fantastic. Sang pretty much constantly for the whole game - what an atmosphere.

To be honest I was expecting another performance like against Scunthorpe but i couldn't have been more wrong. Every player put a shift in. Amos made some great saves - one of which was superb, changing direction seemingly mid dive.

Ajose got the goal he deserved at long last. The defence was solid and we showed so much attacking intent.

Thoroughly enjoyed that. Playoffs here we come. COYR!

Depends on the results... If we all win our remaining games 1-0 with Scunthorpe v Plymouth ending in a draw then we get 6th as we've a better Goal Difference than Plymouth

What'll help is if Rochdale beat Plymouth and then win on Saturday (away @ Oxford), they could be safe and wont need anything when we visit on the final day
  • Been a Charlton fan since 84 and that was up there with one of the best away days

On the piss since 10, atmosphere the nuts and still got a gig at Shepherd’s Bush to go

Lee Bowyers red and white army

    You'll be knackered tomorrow!

HOW ABOUT THAT FOR A CONFIDENT STATEMENT!!!

Yes it might not happen and we may lose in the Semi-Finals, but its better to potentially go into those games with confidence rather than negativity

At least when he says stuff it sounds believable - unlike our previous manager...
Its because he keeps it simple
  • WOW
Played very well. Player marks will be high and deservedly so.

    Pearce - proper defender.

Our back four is better with him in it that's for sure
  • Pearce and Bauer were absolutely outstanding today!

    So pleased for Ajose!

Fans were absolutely class, best ever away day for me!
  • Yes, very pleased for the lad - he got the goal he deserved today and it was incredibly valuable.

    That’s quite some praise
  • How buzzing must the players have been hearing that today. Really think that could of been a game changer of a performance today.
