  • Poor away support from the Celtic fans today.

Must realise they are going to get beat.

    3 - 1 Rangers

Great result considering Celtics defensive problems and already questions being asked of Rodgers tenure. Two new guys making their derby debut.  Well done Bhoys
  • A ground out win which as we know is the sign of a good team. Happy about that win.

Rangers losing 4 - 1 in Eindhoven but will qualify  for the Europa League.

Football wise no disgrace,  and Celtic will probably join them in a few months, but financially it must be a huge hit.

First old firm game this weekend as well.
5-1 mate dont give em any credit.
  • Rangers robbed by VAR

    Beale under pressure already

Yeah I see Rangers fans really seem to have turned on him. There was already a suspicion that he wasn’t the man for big occasions, to go and lose two big matches in the space of a few days might be the end of him.

If Beale became available the new manager thread would get very very interesting

Neither team looked convincing and lots of Celtic fans haven't taken to Rodgers again despite this result.

6th Old Firm game for Beale and he’s only had one win which was in a ‘dead rubber’. Celtic were missing 4/5 big players so I think Rangers saw it as a big chance to win a game that means something, especially after missing out on CL. Don’t underestimate the pressure Beale is under and I wouldn’t be shocked if he’s gone tomorrow.
  • Wouldn’t want Beale here. What has he done?

Managed the 2nd biggest club in Scotland.

Looks at the league table 🤷🏻‍♂️

    No it wouldn't.
As much as SPL football is two bob the guy is not going to drop down to our level.

All meaningless - the only result in the SPL over the weekend that mattered was the Staggies winning at Killie.

Hard not to feel sorry for Rangers after that goal was chalked off after the VAR review yesterday.

Scottish referees, who haven't awarded a penalty against them in the league since 18th January 2022 (a run now stretching to 59 games) clearly have it in for them.
  • Left it very late today but got the win like good teams do

Looks like another two horse race this season, the Bhoys and the Buddies

My mums side of the family are from Paisley and big St Mirren fans. Very impressive the progress the Buddies have made over the last couple of seasons. Hoping to be at the Rangers v St Mirren match in December.

Rangers put Steve Davies in charge because they need snookers to win the league

Michael Beale spent so long as a number 3 coach that despite only being at QPR for 5 months as Manager he went to Glasgow Rangers.
Having turned down Wolves and talking about loyalty and integrity just the month before he decided that possibly Money and Ambition, trumped Loyalty and integrity.

Just the 10 months in Glasgow and now he has to see what offers he gets as he has time to reflect on the last 18 months.

Beale won't want to go back as a coach without being the main man who picks the team.
  • Giovanni van Bronckhorst is a great manager, getting rid of him was a panic move. It's not the manager's fault why they're years behind Celtic.
  • Does Scotland now potentially have a title race?

Celtic beaten at Kilmarnock today and the gap is now down to 5 points with Rangers having a game in hand.

Although Celtic of course do host Rangers in a few weeks so it might not last.

Celtics form has dipped and they are definitely not the same team since Ange left. Fully expect them to catch Celtic. Celtic were very sloppy today and deserved to get beat. Bit like us seeing the game out yesterday.
