I am sorry but I don't like that kind of bowl that Stokes has just bowled. It is not bodyline. For me that is not in the spirit of the game.

He’s definitely not meant that. Just an awful ball.

Trouble is with Stokes you don't what he is going to bowl. Not even Stokes knows.

What a good batsman he is though.
Even when Smith is fit he will keep his place.

Kind of nice to have the best young bowler in the world.

That will do. I can watch Eastenders now ! And we don't have to have a nervy bat

Can't wait for the 4th test when we have them 26-3 and then him and Smith put on a 250 partnership for the 4th wicket.

Although some posters on here earlier were calling for a spinner to be used I have to say this.
Perfect conditions for pace and seam bowling.
    Root called it correct.

Would be great if Anderson were fit enough to replace a very tired looking Woakes in the next Test

We could knock them over for 75 and we’d still have a nervy bat

Bowl out Aussies on Day 1 - Tick
    Five-fer for Jofra - Tick
    Avoid follow-on - Tick

    A successful day for England.

Only because Stokes and Woakes were bowling tripe.

Archer and Broad had control, the other two seamers might as well have just thrown the ball over the boundary and saved everyone the hassle.

Just make sure now we don't do what Kent did against Essex in their second innings...

All out for less than 200.
    I rest my case.

If we score 350 or more, then it will be in the bag.

Doesn’t mean all the seamers bowled well, always helps when one bowler gets 60% of the wickets.

Aussies got 43 runs as those last 8 wickets fell , which coincidentally are the best bowling figures of Bob Willis , also at Headingley in 1981 against our Antipodean friends

“Some posters” probably wanted Naby Sarr to turn his arm over too
