Nicholls should have reviewed the lbw as it was going over ha ha.

Pressure does strange things to top sport folk. England couldn't stop winning when the stakes are lower. The England Rugby team succumbed to pressure playing at home in 2015 and couldn't even get out the group.
England need to bowl well and hope Williamson doesn't score large and quick
Hope the first wicket effects the Kiwi's like England were affective by Vince early wicket against the Aussies.

After the surreal chat on the SOC it's good to state the effing obvious.

Guptill was arguably more important than Williamson. Yes the latter is key but Guptill is the quicker scorer. Even if Williamson gets a big score with good bowling we should leave them too much to do.

Yes, though there's nothing wrong with Ross Taylor's ODI record.

  • Our powerplay bowling has been superb the last 2 matches when it's really counted.

India only 28 off the first 10 overs on Sunday.
NZ only 37 off the first 10 overs today.

New Zealand have chased over 300 to win twice in ODI matches over the last decade. Both against England and Taylor got a century in both...

Williamson run out by Wood's finger tip.

Such tiny margins. That minuscule touch probably ensures a semifinal place for us!

Bizarrely that should affect Ross Taylor.
    He will feel guilty, hopefully.

Taylor and Williamson have run each other out more than a dozen times now when batting together. They've probably gone well beyond the "guilty" stage.

And there's another example of why they have done so!

That early decision not to review seems to have sent shockwaves through the the NZ dressing room.

So many reasons to get some overs from Joe Root ?
Morgan wants to speed up the slow over rate, give his main strike bowlers a lesser work load before the semi and make sure he isn't fined or banned again.
    Plus Joe loves a bowl.

I realise Jason Roy cannot directly effect the way England bowl.
    But.
Just having him in the team seems to give us the confidence to do better .

England have found their mojo after dropping Ali maybe Rashid should follow hum for next game? Not bowling well.
