Bows is playing very cute on our prospects this season as he did last year. I think he's doing all of the important things right. We can't win every week, but we are always going to be nearly there. Exciting times every week. Come on Roland spend some money.
I'm really interested in Jacksons comment at Bromley as reported that they are looking to freshen the squad up in January! I wonder in what way!
Will catch up with the last 200 comments tomorrow but all I’ll say is that every single game this season I’ve thought ‘hard game, we’ll struggle here’ when there is some form of adversity like injuries to encounter.
its taken to now to think ‘do you know what, this bunch will bollock and bite and find something ‘ no matter what selection barriers are put in our way.
Genuinely thought going to the league leaders today with 8-10 injuries we’d get something and was proved right.
Absolutely love this current bunch. This is a proper golden era of players putting in a shift. Get to every game you can because it will not last long.
Planned to go to bed early and save myself a fiver but very glad I didn't.
I don't think when Lyle Taylor was seen with that leg brace anyone thought that Bonne would fill his boots quite so easily. I remember "not quite ready" and "southern league" being mentioned in some quarters.
Great team effort. Oztumer looking a bit sharper and Solly like the good old days. Naby had a few wobbly moments but his spontaneous collapse in their box gave us the point. You could drive a fork lift truck into Naby Sarr at high speed and he would not collapse like that.
Man of the match by some distance, my hero, Josh Cullen. Absolute class for 98 minutes and I hope Uncle Roly is getting his cheque book out to make it a very happy New Year in SE7.
This team, squad and management (but not owner of course) are terrific... Cullen looks really good today and Gallagher seemed to be on an absolute mission...
Love this set, really do, If Roly just gave Bowyer 5 million, I reckon he could get us very close...
If their bloke keeps his legs in a natural position to head the ball it's no foul. As he sticks his leg out at Sarr it's a foul. Why would your leg be that outstretched to head the ball?
The ref made 3 MASSIVE errors 1) Red card 2) The handball their 2nd 3) Our penalty
I wouldn't be surprised to see him reffing League 1 games for the next few weeks.
Sarr looked a bit suspect but I'm going from 3 minutes of highlights those at the game how did he play?
Delighted Bonne nicked another goal he's on top of the world at the moment!
Great grit and determination to get ourselves back into the game with 10 minutes left. A lesser team would of had the midweek game in the back of their mind but we pressed on a secured a excellent point.
Little man Oz looked to have some neat pieces of play. Hopefully he can step up in JW absence.
I don't understand why there's so much focus on the referees red card mistake because it was addressed and corrected. The actual foul could have been a career ending hack. Looked similar to the one the ended Basey.
Not read other comments apart from the first and this page. Saw the highlights. Red card was harsh-ish, but it was always a gamble flying in at that speed in those conditions.
Handball cancels out the dodgy pen in my opinion, I had not heard or read anything about that incident in advance of seeing it on the tele, and I spotted it first time, so should the ref from the position he was in (Bilic seems to have come over all Arsene Wenger at that point). The giving of the penalty was more understandable, again given his position at the time.
In one way disappointing to concede against ten men again, but before the match I would have been happy with a point. One dropped last minute on Weds, one gained yesterday. Four points from those three matches with half a squad is a good return.
Just one of many that I snuck in. Incidentally the guy infront of me with the yellow/white top told me he'd travelled from Finland just for the match, that's dedication
Bilic is a shitbag, here is the man who cheated Laurent Blanc out of a world cup winners medal b y getting him sent off in the semis.Detest him with a passion and hope his career collapses.

Probably the most biased set of after match posts i've ever read on an oppositions forum after a game.
Reading some of those comments you'd think they should've won 5-0.
Found a rational one....
"I’ll play devils advocate here but penalty aside it looks like decisions were fairly even. Our second goal shouldn’t have stood, and the Ferguson tackle was poor. Now of course the penalty was poor and the added time through the refs incompetence was another story, but you could argue we got away with our second, Charlton played well and were good value for a point."

The red card wasn’t harsh-ish. You’d need to be on hashish to make that observation. That foul could have ended a fellow professional’s career and a three match ban is the least its perpetrator deserves.
Just watched the highlights. In my view, the red card was absolutely nailed on, the handball was obvious and our penalty was never a penalty in a million years. All in all it evened itself out and I wouldn’t be surprised if that wasn’t in the referees mind when he gave the pen.

He is going to get black balled out of Birmingham!
Proper game that, didn't think I'd make it stuck on the M1 for hour and half. It's just great to be competing with the best this league has to offer, last year we wasn't beating Accrington and Fleetwood and a year ago we lost to Rochdale. Please someone good buy us we have a upward momentum which would be terrible to lose. Never a pen but as someone once said, 'but frankly who cares'.
Look at the stats......about as even a game as you wish to see. Like Fulham & a few others they look very dangerous on the attack, especially down the wings, but in defence they concede goals like any other team. Like any game of football it's about the amount you score, not how many you let in.
As for the game itself. We weren't overawed & started well. Havent seen Livermore's challenge again but it could have been red imo.....probably because it was very early on the ref thought only a yellow. Thought their crowd were very quiet & didn't really sing even when they went ahead.....and didnt hear any boing, boing, boinging. Of the 3 big issues......
def a red card If there was VAR then their 2nd isn't a goal Soft pen & thought so at the time
The fact we can go toe-to-toe with these "big" clubs is fantastic & shows what mentality LB has instilled in them. WBA had Charlie Austin up front....we had Macauley Bonne. They brought on Robson-Kanu & Chris Brunt.....we brought on Aneke & Davison. They are miles apart in terms of experience & quality & that's what makes days like yesterday so special.
As for the ground. Golfie Jnr loved it & said it was a "proper" Premier League one. The home end & the stand opposite the dug ours are impressive. Great away section & stood all game (as it the norm nowdays). Happy to report no smoke bombs so trousers & NEW trainers all survived intact !! Parked in the school opposite.....nearest I've parked to a ground ever.....even beating Barnsley & Filbert street, where both times I somehow parked in a side street less then a minute away.
My only fear now is 2-fold. That Gallagher, Lockyer & Pratley all pick up bookings next week & miss Millwall. Without even one of them we are on thin ice. 2nd fear.....game at Millwall is on Rememberance weekend & no doubt they will be holding a minutes silence. Yesterdays was observed well but think Millwall will be a different kettle of fish. I hope I am proved wrong.

was contact and that excellent referee deemed it a pen. Sh*t happens, move on 👿.
At the start of the write up says that Solly scored the pen.

Lockyer's 1v1 defending has led to a fair few goals for us and Wales. Am sure Bows will be on it in training.
Who headed the looping cross into the path of Sarr for the penalty? It was excellent.

It was the second game running that we have conceded a goal because he did not track back with the man he was alongside.
He didn't do it for Bristol C's winner & he let the WBA player run free for their first goal yesterday.
I love Cullen, but it does appear to be a weakness in his game.
Croatia > West Ham > West Brom
