Not sure what to make of the moves for Toney and Maddison.
If both are being brought in as part of some extra muscle to keep us up - fine. But neither look like the type of long term acquisitions I'd expect from a new owner...or from a manager with cash to spend from a new owner.
Proven League One pro's are unlikely to get us promoted to the top flight IMO.
Presumably you wouldn’t have liked the acquisition of Mark Kinsella because he had spent his career up to then playing below the 2nd tier level, including a couple of seasons in the Conference. He captained us to to two promotions to the Premier League and then to a top half finish in the Premier League. He also captained Ireland.

We are entering the last last 2 critical weeks of the transfer window.
Never have truer words been said. Eventually this CL classic would find its place and take centre stage: Who leaves, may be just as important as who we bring in. By the end of this month we will have a flavour of the philosophy of ESI. Bowyer, Gallen, JJ, Avory, Marshall need to be sorted so the new potential signings know the lay out and ambition of this club. Still can't get a handle on where we are at with pitching our wages, as 8 to 18K was mentioned for Lyle. Yet Red Henry who has had he's scoops on here says it's well under 10k for Taylor ?
