So far - eight days into their ownership - we have signed one player and the Chairman has stated that he wants to run the club properly and re-engage with the fans. Eight days in. The transfer window runs until the end of the month and most of the business gets done on deadline day, especially in January where teams often have to wait on chains of moves in order to confirm signings and sales. I guess some people are destined to be forever miserable. They’ve owned the club for SEVEN DAYS. Bowyer is happy, Gallen is happy, (most) fans are happy. Just enjoy the ride, they’ve done nothing wrong yet, stop waiting for them to slip up.grumpyaddick said:

Ok I'm gonna go on a slight rant about Gnanduillet and it's not because I think he is the second coming but more so the situation we are in.
Seen a few posts saying 'good I'm not sure on him anyway' or along those lines, he is obviously better than who will lead the line this weekend.
The posts about Blackpool asking too much, asking too much? In the same league the top scorer is being quoted at a fee of 13 million when their player is only a couple of goals behind him. I understand Toney is around 4 years younger, bigger contract and probably the better player, but for them to ask what sounds like a mid way or so 6 figure sum is chump change in comparison. Why would they not ask for more? It's January, he's their top scorer and his value has gone up plus they're fighting at the right end of the table.
I am failing to see how we can be content that a player Gallen and Bowyer wanted previously, we now don't want to buy when we are rich apparently. I would understand if we were being linked with some elite names and we had an idea of what we will spend but we don't. I personally don't think we can do better
Unless we have an elite scout that puts Thomas to shame, that's another bit of bad news for me.
Edit: just to add to it as well, if we buy a player at around the 600k mark and he doesn't work out, I'm sure there will be a League1 team willing to take him off our hands for another 6 figure fee, it's a small risk. That's assuming we don't go down and need him anyway7 -
