Even if you didn't know Seb, you knew him, he was that much of a character.
For anyone not taking this virus seriously lets put it into context - The death count in England yesterday to the virus was 28. We all knew ONE of those 28.
This really really hurts. Someone in an earlier comment compares Seb to Curbs, Sam Bartram and Super Clive. and rightly so. Players come and go for a variety of reasons, but fans like Seb do it for the same reasons we do. Only Seb did it much better.RIP mate
Never knew the fella personally but always saw him over the years, home or away. Over a thousand games on the bounce, now that’s what you call a football fan and one this club should be very proud off. My sincere condolences go out to his family and friends.
A very very sad day. Thought and prayers are with the family and friends. Seb you was and will remain a CHARLTON LEGEND forever. The Charlton family will never forget you!! RIP
As well as his record number of consecutive games he will be remembered for his Many Miles SE7 flag which was always in place at The Covered End prior to K.O. It became part of Charlton - as he was himself.
This is a grievous loss - the words of @PemburyAddick a few posts before this one - ring true.
Awful news, such an amazing dedicated fan. I didn’t know Seb personally although had seen him around after games. All I can say is RIP Seb from the Charlton Family
I think we can take comfort that Seb will have taken so much pleasure from following the club we all love. Whatever the weather, whatever the result, wherever the place, he was always doing what he loved. He gave his life to Charlton, quietly and without fanfare. A special bloke who will be greatly missed. The wider Charlton family has lost a complete one off. RIP Seb Lewis.

Stay indoors. Protect the NHS. SAVE LIVES
RIP Seb. Charlton legend indeed
Thinking of you on this very sad morning.
Often at an away game I would see the great man with one of these in his hand.
Cheers Seb.
