  • I’m in dover high street. People queuing as they should! Of course the tv are going to report the breaches and not the compliance
It is the fact that there are breaches that is the problem. Everyone should be complying for the health of everyone else.

Let's just have a cull. Anyone queuing up to get in to Primark the morning it opens, sorry but the gene pool is better off without you.
What can be so Urgent to need to queue so early at Primark anyway?

I mean some shops will be understandable

e.g. come Thursday we'll be taking our Son to Clarks as these last three months have seen him grow too big for his shoes so needs to get his feet measured
  • I organised our first pre season training on Sunday and with the club chairman in attendance all within social distancing guidelines.

There was 18 of us so 3 groups of 6 and did various running and ball work drills and actually worked really well.  I was fucked, that extra 2 stone didn't help.

We did this at Charlton Park but over the other side there was a kids training session going on at least 20 kids all mingling together then at the end, they had what I assume to be their awards do with all the parents there also, all in close proximity.

Various emails have recently come out about grassroots football and the kids cannot be blamed for this but surely the coaches have a duty of care for themselves the kids and their parents in situations like this.

Coming back from an early morning kayak this morning and bumped, not literally, into my neighbours who were setting off at 08:00 to get into the queue for TKMaxx for when it opened. One of them has been shielding up until now but clearly the draw of wandering around TKMaxx was enough to lure him out. Up to them innit but I don't get it.

    Meanwhile in Bristol,

In fairness they are attempting to maintain a distance but I wonder what happens when they get inside?

Understandbly it's less children, and it is also outside, but if it's not deemed safe enough to go back to school I don't see why it is to have a large training session like that!
  • It affects everybody though. If there is an increase in cases it will affect the NHS and lockdown measures will have to be tightened.
  • I've jus seen those pictures of the scrum in Oxford Street and the vast majority of them were BAME people, who are obviously not worried that they are more likely to be badly affected by Coronavirus.
I’ve given up worrying about what others do! If they want to put themselves at risk, fine! I’m looking after no1 and making sure that me and my family remain safe. If I need to go to a shop, I will go! But I’m going to make sure I stay at a safe distance and make sure people don’t get close to me.
    I'm with you on this.

I've given up getting the hump with others as you can't control it. I just make sure I am distanced from as many people as possible and just accept that if I catch it, it will be because of bad luck.

  • Back to normal here in Yorkshire. High street packed, not seeing much social distancing. Unless it's just the idiots out I can't see how this ends well.

bad luck maybe but the chances of getting it will be higher due to these morons.

Yup - totally agree....but sod all you can do about it.
  • I’m definitely in the easing of restrictions camp but two things worry me
    1. peoples selfish attitudes and ignorance to the rules
    2. pubs opening

@Spitfire76 has stated that he will only be opening for food and drink and two weeks after everyone else which is good. I’m worried about the ‘it’s my right to spend 4 hours in Wetherspoons getting beefed up and cuddling anyone in sight’ attitude.

How about ALL people follow the guidelines, so the hospitals can return to some normality and then some of us might get to see sick relatives we haven’t seen for weeks.
Good luck with that. I’ve said this before, we live in a n ill disciplined and selfish society. That’s a why I’ve given up worrying about others and am focussing g on my and families safety

Crazy today. Three gardens down from us,  there are 20+ adults plus a least a dozen kids, no social distancing, loud music, trestle table with buffet food. The thing that gets me the most is that they are BAME and are, therefore, the most at risk.

The woman next door works as a nurse in our local surgery and yet, virtually every day since lockdown, one or both of her daughters comes round, occasionally with grandchildren. This morning, both daughters arrived in one car, with two grandchildren and a load of toys ... kids left with the woman next door, and the daughters have gone out for the day.

House opposite has been having work done, just one bloke at a time. Today four turned up, all working in very close proximity, and the family in the house coming out to chat with them, social distancing forgotten.

Lockdown is well and truly over ... apart from me and my wife that is ... we are still not going to take such chances despite really missing our kids and grandchildren.
Crazy yesterday. House on the corner, we started hearing music at about 15.00, looking out of back window, we could see half a dozen late teens / early 20’s in garden drinking.  We have known the occupants for many years but they must have gone away for the day and left their kids at the house.

By 19.00, probably 30-40 in the garden, louder music and, as it is a small garden, all in close proximity, no indication at all of distancing.

And the worst thing? The family are of Caribbean descent and all those there were BAME. It makes no sense as they are most at risk.

Party ended about 11’ish as I assume the parents were due to return. Had to let them know this morning, as they need to ensure it doesn’t happen again, and probably get a number of surfaces cleaned down.
  • I’m just relieved that the predictions about the death of the high street have been exaggerated. I’m really surprised by how many people still go to actual shops to buy non-food items.

Pictures of the crowds outside the Nike store in London are a joke.
But its essential, some of these people haven't bought new trainers for weeks.
I’m pretty sure that a large number didn’t need to go today, but how many people have children who have grown out of shoes and trainers during lockdown and do actually have a valid need.

I mean, when my kids outgrow their trainers, I go to Nike Town to pay over the odds for a pair I could order online for a fraction of the cost and hassle
  • Dan Wootton is pond life. The male version of Katie Hopkins.

The bloke has no moral compass at all. The way he conducted himself with Caroline Flack for example, he suits The Scum to a tee.
  • Well you don't want to meet your maker is a shitty old pair of trainers do you.

I mean, Just because that’s the way you would do it, doesnt mean everyone else in the country does it that way.

I don't think anyone on here is disputing that this is what should be happening mate. The fact of the matter is however that you can only really control your own behaviour. You can only hope that others do the same.

As many other things in life - I really try not to worry too much about things that I have little or no control over.

No, no there not you stupid prick, stick to your shitty radio show and being a wanker in The Scum.

People buying things they don't need, with money they don't have, isn't a civic duty.

(I really am in a shitty mood )
It’s also not like much of the stuff they are buying is actually manufactured in the UK either. So not a lot of benefit to our hard pressed and struggling manufacturing base.
