  • Levitt looks good in the video but so does everyone.  If he is good enough for Bowyer/Gallen he is good enough for me.  We may look well stocked in midefield but Willis and JFC will spend significant periods injured in all likliness, Pratley may move to CB and Doughty can play LB plus Lapslie RB.

If good enough there is always room for more and Man Utd loaning us players can only be a good thing for long term loan relationships.

On a side note, comments below from a QPR fan for what they are worth:

    Washington

Tries hard-100% all the time, but not very good.  Runs around an awful lot.

    Lynch

Big unit. Not popular with QPR fans generally but I thought he was OK. Decent in air and powerful , but a bit slow on the turn and moans a lot.  One thing to look out for is that he’s always injured or suspended at Xmas/New Year and likes a trip to Dubai around that time.

You sure it’s not Bet Lynch that we are signing?

Well stocked with no one as talented as Dylan Levitt. He’s absolute quality on the ball and dictating play. The contrast in his play to the likes of Morgan, Lapslie or whoever is left still at Charlton is night and day. The lad is miles better.

If he comes then I hope we can return to the stadium as I’ll be coming just to watch him. Shame this wasn’t last season when I had a ST.
I'm intrigued to know how on earth you know so much about a Man Utd youth team player that has never played a league game?
  • So seeing as Lord Thomas said we’ll have a team ready to give West Ham a decent game (or something like that) does that mean some signings over the next few days?

    Come home Naby 🤞

I’m finally in the know! Levitt is a done deal
Travelled to London today. Medical tomorrow.
You better hope this is announced tomorrow or you’ll be shunned.

Seriously though that’s a good signing

Seasons highlights......10 mins  ??  He's not played a fucking minute of League football. 1 appearance in the Europa cup. Woopie fucking doo. Are we supposed to be pleased that we've signed a 20 year old (in November) who has played less competitive matches than Doughty, Davison & even Barker......who's 17 !!!
When he’s miles more talented than them? Yes.

Gallagher hadnt played an adult match until he came to us..... and he was a class player

I support them and watch every u18s and 23s match. I’ve seen him play 50+ times.

I’m also just a fan of youth football in general. It’s high quality football for cheap and often times even free.
Good for you and thanks for your opinions.

from the highlights reel he definitely seems to be genuinely two-footed which, for me, is a sign of a good player.  Be interested if this comes off

  • Let’s get Matthews back, we need a Welsh gang again!
Lynch is a Welsh International as well.
  • Ok,  re Dylan Levitt I'll retract what I said & will make a fuller assessment once I've seen him play a few times.

One more than Gallagher had, and he was class. Also played for the senior wales side the other day, and really highly thought of for the future. He's played less than Doughty, Davinson, Barker? so what, does that make them better?
his at one of the best academies in the world, and Davinson etc all played basically because of our injuries and financial position (doubt Davison or Barker woulda got a chance if we had stability)

Nice one, thanks for the reply.

Hadn't even considered you might be a United fan but now it obviously makes sense!

  • I thought Doughty had a contract until 2022?
  • I thought Doughty had a contract until 2022?
    No until June 2021
  • £400k if true is peanuts
  • Seem to remember reading we turned down a similar bid from Luton

    From today's Daily Record

£400k is an absolute insult at this stage.
Cheers, I misread at first and thought it was £400k on top of the £750k they'd apparently offered the other day
  • Get TS in and whack a new contract down infront of Doughty ASAP
  • Another little nugget from the Daily Record article, possibly the trashiest publication I've read

  • I dont think Doughty would get lost in Scotland, think he's good enough for that level... Just maybe not for Celtic

Also got to remember that Bowyer was furious because we lost out on about £2m in compensation which we'd have received had he stayed in England
