He’s still wearing the boot, here’s what he shared on their conversation:
“bypasses when i mentioned Bowyers comments. He wasn’t happy with the amount we change the team. Said we can’t gel and get a rhythm together. But also said the players on the pitch aren’t playing well regardless of who is playing. I said we can’t defend after losing Inniss and Famewo and he agreed but said we need to be better as a team. “We’re Charlton, a massive club” was he’s actual words.”
Disgraceful attitude etc etc Tattoos pizza not committed etc1 -

If it’s ligament then it depends how bad, it could could be a few months or season ending.

im not even sure why the fact that a player has tattoos is being mentioned when discussing his abilityBut the cross under the eye. But then jumping out of tackles like a nancy boy. That’s the problem.
he is pony3 -

he is ponyI’ve never understood how arrogant some of these players can be when they are in all honesty not in the top 1000 players playing in this country. And to be honest I don’t think Maddison is anywhere near as influential as Taylor is in a team. That is why players like Yann were so popular as he just got on with it and didn’t make it about him.5 - Sponsored links:

I had a 180 degree turn on Marcus following his brief debut against the Mackems.
Before that I had been in the camp of he was an excellent player ( a bit like Ryan Fraser) when he played for Posh against us but I felt we avoided a bullet in January whilst in the Championship.
I liked his delivery from set pieces but it was actually his last gasp defending that impressed me.
I hope he stays and is utilised effectively.1 -

This. His Peterborough managers knew how to get the best out of him.
He proved his worth averaging 20 or more goal interactions every season, season after season.
We need to play to his strengths and abilities.
He can conjure goals out of nothing.
And if he's not another all-rounder midfield workhorse like JFC ........ for Gawd's sake, don't blunt his creativity and vision.
Just team him up with another midfielder that will play in tandem with him and feed him the ball.
One moment of brilliance can rescue a point or turn a draw into a win.
That's got to be better than 90 minutes huff and puff.

Any moron (beings you've taken it personally) would know we've been a basket case of a club for years, terminating contracts after 5 months just shows nothing has changed.

it’s got to be frustrating for him to see Forster caskey on dead ball duties ahead of him10

I’m still trying to understand how so many of our supporters want to get rid of the one player we have who can make something out of nothing.20

Im on the fence re MM, however as soon as he is back fit (after the injury on Friday), I think he should start the game and be given 90 minutes (fitness depending) to show what he can do for us in a full game. I was glad we got him and I think he is potentially the most creative player we have, but he has to be given a chance to show what he can do. As for jumping out of the tackle, I have two thoughts on that - If he had just taken a knock before the 'incident' perhaps it was a natural reaction to protect his 'knock', if not then it seemed as though he 'bottled' it. I also think LB should keep individual player criticisms to between him and the player, that means all players. Publicly admonishing any player is not, in my opinion, good man-management, and so far as I recall, that's Williams, Morgan, Bogle and Morrison. Yet others have been poor and made mistakes yet no mention of them....Gilbey, Pearce for example.
Time for LB to re-build confidence and get back to playing the way we did when on the 6 match unbeaten run. We can still do that again and push on....and MM needs to be a big part of that.2 -
With the right management he'll deliver - more confident about him than JW.3

Maddison is always going to be a marmite player, but his stats from his Peterborough days don’t lie. His is being grossly mismanaged - as are a fair few of our players at the moment. As soon as he is fit, he needs to be given a run of 10 games straight, no subbing on or off (unless injured). Give the bloke a good run and then see where we are with him. Think people need to forget about the tattoos, what pizza topping he has on a Saturday night, what PlayStation game he is playing and what colour his boots are. Judge him on the pitch - but that can only happen if Bowyer stops playing stupid games and lets him do what he signed him to do.9 -

He'd also pretty much ruin any chance of getting any loan players from Chelsea ever again.
If Bowyer slaughtered him publicly, i'm pretty sure we'd find Maatsen recalled sharpish and wouldn't be getting any more Chelsea players whilst he was in charge. And with the amount of good young players that they produce/poach, they are certainly a club you want to keep on the right side of.Actually scratch that, how about our manager doesn’t slaughter any of our own players in public.5 -
People seem to missing the fact he went to Hull and team in free fall and didn't get a game I wonder why ? I think he is a complete wrongun

People very quick to label someone a 'wrongun' when they know nothing about how he conducts himself at the club.11 -

Fortunately for Bowyer he doesn't have the option to use Maddison now and he won't for at least 4-6 weeks I reckon... Bowyer won't know or care about that though.0 -
MM is not the sole reason we have been on a shocking run of form, we took a punt on him, rightly / or wrongly and at this point in time it looks like its not working out.
If i could use up one of my 3 TS wishes, it would be to not sign injury prone / unfit players in the future, we need to sign players who will hit the ground running, and not break in 5 minutes.4 -
Not working out? None of our signings look like they are working out right now! Our players from last season aren't looking too great either!
Maddison got 6 minutes against Sunderland his first game in MONTHS. Suggestion is he was poor in his 6 minutes, despite blocking a goal off the line.
Wasn't then used when we had our 6 game streak so couldn't be judged when we were playing as a team! Had an injury flair up as well as simply not being played by Bowyer, who barely used any subs in this run, Aneke, Bogle, Smyth and Washington aside.
Looked a bit hit and miss vs Gills and Burton Not poor, but not great from recollection. Didn't link up too well with Aneke vs Burton.
not used vs Ipswich Another game where Bowyer changed little.
Looked as good as his team mates vs MK Dons. Everyone was bad
Dropped vs Shrews Harshly.
Owned AFC Wimbledon and was heavily involved in some of our best play. Completely unselfish. Widely seen as his best performance for us.
Hit and miss vs Swindon Regarded as poor because he floated in and out of the game
Came on and showed what quality he can add vs Plymouth. Best goal I've seen a Charlton player score in years.
Not used vs Hull, a team which he probably could have shown up players he knew how to play against. Harsh again IMO.
Slated for his performance vs Accrington for jumping a challenge and getting injured. This is despite trying to get things going and looking one of only a few positive influences... Admittedly most of it didn't come off.
