I don't know what Maddison is like off the pitch anymore than anyone on here. But I do know his posts seem to be saying look at me, I don't take my profession as seriously as I should.
We can and do debate how harmful or not his posts are to his career. But does anyone think it's career enhancing for a professional footballer to post about being out in the middle of the night, eating pizza, being in bed in the afternoon?
It suggests to me that his behaviour is some form of self harming.

I'm not sure that's fair.
We know he's moved to London on his own in a time where you're not allowed to socialise with anyone outside of your household so imo it's very natural for him to be on social media more than others. I don't think this means he doesn't take his profession seriously.
I think his posts should be cause for extra support from us as a fanbase. I don't know why people want to slate him so much when it's clear what he can bring on the pitch.

I think the life of a Footballer is pretty boring at the moment and only less so than that of people like me and you
e.g. at least he can go out somewhere and do something when he's playing / training... Been watching a few of the videos Ben Foster does on YouTube with his GoPro during games - Ahead of Watford's 8pm game @ Man Utd on the weekend, they had breakfast, did some stretching at one stage, had a team meeting before getting on the coach - The rest of the time they had literally had nothing to do but count down the hours in their hotel rooms.
I don't really get what people have against him either. So he has tattoos, enjoys eating pizza every now and then, enjoys playing playstation and decided to spend his day off when he's injured in bed. On top of that he's alone in London at a time when he can't go to visit friends or family, if he wants to post on social media what he's getting up to I don't see the harm.
Just been told that his injury is thankfully not that serious, should only be out for approx two to four weeks. Not been told exactly what the injury is but something akin to a bad sprain. As regards him being in bed in the afternoon, he’s got an injured foot so obviously doesn’t ‘want’ or ‘need’ to be up and about. The world outside his front door isn’t an exactly welcoming place right now, cold, gloomy plus lockdown....tucked up in bed with his laptop and TV is just about as good a place as he realistically can be right now. Some folk dissing him are quite pathetic!🤨🧐
I'm not surprised his injury isn't that bad. I wobbled my ankle just like he did a while ago and it didn't take too long to go down. Hurt like hell though. Hopefully he's still got good ankle stability afterwards as the real killer is being more susceptible to ligament tears after a bad sprain

Maybe it’s on another thread and I’ve missed it?
Did Bowyer or Chandler supply him?
Apparantly he has a bad sprain.
Not even 'him', I made it up.

Used to be a case of something like 11am on a Thursday you were all but guaranteed to get quotes
