I'm starting to think all of the previous shite he has had to put up with has affected LB's judgement. He should have changed things once they were down to 10 men and gone for the throat. He is being far to afraid imo. He needs to get back to letting the opposition worry about us and not so much us them
So flat it's unreal, no cutting edge, so slow and defensive.
It was like with 11vs10 we was still scared to play out of our own half unless it was a long ball.
No excuses Bowyer sort it out
No Blackpool simply went deep and put nine men behind the ball
Meant Bogle has had no space to get in behind as we saw in the early half and with Charlton players playing musical statues there was no one to try and play a pass to
The only good thing about Purrington going off is the fact that Blackpool should come forward more now so will hopefully open themselves back up again
A negative team selection meant that we couldn't take advantage of having an extra man for 40 minutes, summed up by that Blackpool corner where we didn't leave anyone up for the counter attack. Lots of passing between the back 4 and 2 defensive midfielders, with too many times a hoof over the top the outcome
Frustrated that there was no change in formation when Blackpool went down to 10, and then it was obvious the Purrington would foul their winger who was to fast for him. Not great management by Bowyer.
This is pretty appalling. 11 v 10 for much of it, and not a single shot on target. Watson much better today, but midfield isn’t showing much creativity. Have hardly seen Washington. Bogle at least looking dangerous.
Seem to be in the minority here in regards to blaming Bowyer. I don't see the play since the red card as negative play, I think he's teaching this new team to be defensively strong first and build from the back. Whether we just played against 10 men for majority of half or not, we have a clean sheet at half time away from home. We're now in a position to try something more attacking in second half.
Knew that ref would even things up have a feeling he ain't done yet, first time for him I believe for league one came up from lower divisions trying to make his mark.
The ref didn't even things up. Purrington did it for him.
No arguments with the red. Purrington simply could not live with the pace and then hauled Hamilton down as he got in behind. Yeah we had cover but not nearby.
No tactical adjustment was made to help Purrington out on Hamilton. I was screaming at the telly for Watson to cover where Hamilton was inevitably going to run - down the line - and he just hovered around. Not blaming Watson whatsoever as it meant he'd be out of position and you have to have faith in your full back to defend one on one, but Purrington had been burned so many times already.
Bowyer should have switched something up to try and press the advantage early before they had a chance to consolidate. He didn't, we now also have ten, and we go again.

Yes, I think he slightly lost his mojo when the team started struggling last season and is still in that slightly negative mindset as if we were playing Fulham or Leeds

Its not like we've had chances though is it - Honestly whats this fascination with a shot on target if it doesnt go in
Its just as wasteful, if not more so as a shot off target

Big 45 ahead.
Spot on. Purrington needed help or to be subbed and he didn’t get it.

Couldnt agree more... Its a shame as Purrington going forward had been pretty decent today
One effort into the side netting and a great ball to Bogle in the first minute - More than what others have done
That was pathetic - they virtually gifted us the game and instead of slowing it down and making them knacker themselves out pressing us we try to play at 150mph and inevitably lose possession. Meanwhile moronic Purrington gets sent off himself.

”Idiot Purrington should’ve fouled him!”

Wasted opportunity.
As for Purrington - what an idiot 😡

Scoring goals is just something we can't do. 1 goal in 3 & a half games and nothing to say that is going to change.
I don’t know because I’m not watching the game.

Why Bowyer never subbed him is beyond me
