  • It’s not enjoyable football and promotion doesn’t look inbound
  • Hilarious to come up with that excuse for Williams. Shockingly poor management to blame that.
  • These kind of performances are not acceptable, you cannot keep rotating players and still expect to get results. Players are never going to gel if they are not given a run of games, the midfield is clearly not mobile enough and we will always likely to concede trying hang onto games against the likes of BURTON, MK DONS and now SHREWSBURY, sounds like we were gutless, and several players are under performing. The buck stops with the manager at the end of the day!
  • Williams wasn't injured. Taken off because he "pulled out of a challenge". Absolute BS from Bows and more shifting the blame elsewhere.

You got it wrong today Lee, just accept it.
Explains why Gilbey got taken off in the second half then as he did exactly the same

  • Fans and Players alike need to learn to respect other teams at this level

We went on a great run at one point in October, it showed what we could achieve and there were times like against Fleetwood where we weren't just papering over the cracks - For some reason we've all returned since Gillingham thinking that we've got a god given right to win this league. Its not as costly if the fans want to continue thinking that but the players certainly need to stop

Enough of the shit, thinking its only Burton, its only Milton Keynes, its only Shrewsbury

We should be beating these teams blah blah blah... We're at the same level for a bloody reason so the players especially, get used to it and quickly else we're going to be down here for a lot longer than what we want to be again!!!
mate I'm not going to have a dig because I know your way off thinking. It's not about disrespecting teams (although I completely agree about MK Dons who were decent) but come on. Shrewsbury are not a good side. I didn't rant after Burton or MK but today was a different level.

If teams turn up and we don't win then fair enough, but any decent League 1 team would have beaten Shrewsbury today. Bowyer is getting more and more negative, invites pressure and we get what we deserved. We had excuses last season but it happened regularly, we can't do that again this season.
Funnily I am digging out the players more than the fans

Rightly the fans cant do much to change things so can in a way be more disrespectful to other clubs, however much I dont like it... The players on the other hand have barely changed their way of playing since we returned after Gillingham and it really feels like they're not respecting other clubs...

First half it was sluggish and not enough movement, Washington would win the ball pass it for JFC to run on to and he'd just stand there - Morgan and Williams came on and there was suddenly more urgency but it shouldn't need to take that long

I just dont get how the players can go from one level against Ipswich / Portsmouth etc. where we can make them look mugs, yet suddenly against the ordinary teams they're struggling and I'm beginning to wonder if they are thinking its too easy; Gunter and Watson especially who havent ever played at this level before - Regardless if that is the case then it needs to stop... If they think these teams should be a walk in the park then do just that, put them to the bloody sword and move on!!!
The tactics are inviting massive pressure. We cannot get any movement going because the team changes every game. Not just 1 or 2 changes either. Honestly I took a detailed look yesterday at other teams and they don't do it like us. It's getting silly now, no wonder the players aren't jelling

Anyone picking on Bogle for that result is a moron.

    Just saying.
WTF... Why should Bogle be picked out for that performance?

Players will want consistency and to be treated fairly. So is he going to sub off everyone who jumps out of a challenge from now on?

He didn't sub Washington off after 30 minutes, and he played worse than Bogle did against Burton.

I'm worried about LB's frame of mind at the moment.
  • Sick of the negative football under Bowyer and constant team changes. If we haven't improved by Christmas I imagine Thomas might have a word.

    He did ok
  • Blame the fans for this then Bowyer.
    Absolutely fucking shite.
    Good night everyone
Shrewsbury fans made a lot more noise today than ours ever did on Wednesday and that was from the first minute!!
    So what
  • I’m afraid Lee bowyer needs to sort it quickly, he is not bulletproof and is making a good case for the trigger to be pulled on him. Negative tactics, negative team selection, negative as soon as we take a lead, bizarrely negative towards any players with individual skill. I know NEGATIVE post!!!!, Bows please don’t be a Charlton ledge that goes tits up and ends being remembered as..... NEGATIVE!!!!!!!.
  • Remember how last season a few of us pointed out when we were top 6 that xG was showing we were actually close to relegation-level quality? And everyone was like... "Nahhhh, we are top six, xG is rubbish!" And then we wound up being relegated?

I guess now is the time to show how we looked even before today... We have been the most outperforming club in L1. Eventually, xG shows that mirage will end... Don't kill the messenger!

Pretty damning really as it shows that we're creating very little.
  • Morgan and Williams, one horribly slices his clearance that leads directly to the penalty, the other after coming on as a sub was doing so poorly at the job he was asked to do was then hooked off again.

Both are largely lauded on here but I personally don't think they have the match awareness needed for situations like this, and today showed that. Amos kept the points for us with his late saves, and it should have been 3 points as well. These are the games you need to win and grind results out to be champions. We have the steel in midfield in Watson and Pratley, but we seem to lack the mettle when it counts

Its baffling as our last game before the break was Fleetwood and for the majority of that game we played the best Football I've seen from this team this season - Now its suddenly gone to pot... I know its not overly been said about him but when players dont play I do question overall results and do wonder if we're hurting without Shinnie in the team. Then again the opposition have nullified him in recent weeks!!

Taken off because he 'pulled out of a challenge'? This isn't the British fucking Army
Was that the challenge where he ended winning the ball back and getting a free kick? Gunter is an accident waiting to happen every time the ball is near him and he stays on!!!!
  • Never Bowyer's fault is it, that Williams substitution was criminal man management. Other players have been pulling out of challenges for weeks now without being subbed off.

Feel really bad for Amos who deserved a clean sheet but considering the saves he had to make a point was the least the second of the bottom of the table Shrewsbury deserved.

Back in front of our own fans on Saturday, so there's the next scapegoat lined up.
  • I a massive fan of Bowyer obviously like all of us. But I’m sorry that was not on what he did to Williams, take Washington off and push Johnny up front.

You can’t rule with an iron fist like that and sub people for it tracking back.

It just come across as a bit old fashioned and wanky if you ask me.

I thought a draw, although disappointing was a fair result

I’m afraid that’s LB fault with didn’t get the 3pts today because of his tactics, even though we didn’t deserve to win. Our play is so slow and predictable and we need more pace in the side especially in midfield.

PS please can we send back Bogle.
I'm as pissed off as you are. Probably more so. And agree LB has royally effed up today.

But why single Bogle out for stick today? He made the goal and was no worse than others.

But in contrast he can't be seen to let Williams off and punish Morgan...

That's because their team threw the kitchen sink at our goal and they got an equaliser so they had something to cheer about.
  • I think Bows is NOT the Messiah, he's just a very silly boy!
