If we had lost today there should be a lot of people questioning Bowyer's position, that's so predictable Stevie Wonder could see it.
We didn't loose, but maybe you would prefer it if we did, so you could get some "oh here they are again points"?
I'll tell why we won, we had square pegs in square holes, looked sharp, looked like the players knew what they were doing, didn't fanny about with it for the sake of it, played our best available team and didn't make 5 defensive substitutions.
If you can tell me we have done all, or the majority of, them previously and consistently, please tell me when?
We did not "loose", correct.
Is all that you can find fault in?
No.

And rightly so!!, but we won and everyone should be happy, and bowyer continues to prove the people that doubt him wrong. If he doesn’t then he should be criticised for not doing his job well enough. It’s called football management.
A manager's tenure is one game at a time then?
That’s not what I said, you are putting words in my post!!!!.... bowyer has been far from perfect in his decision making and tactics for quite a while, based on results and performances he has to be judged by them.He has the squad so now he either sinks or swims. He has done well today, if he loses the next three he would have done shit and deserves any repercussions.in an ideal world he does a good job and we are all happy. If not he goes, whatever loyalty he has shown in his well paid job he loves to do.

Gotta disagree with you about round pegs in round holes
There have been plenty complaining about Pearce being in a starting line up of late and have been calling for Gunter (a RB) to play there in his stead?
I even had to deal with that debate after Hull when Bowyer played Maatsen and Matthews in the wrong positions (neither decision led directly to us conceding) and yet its suddenly been okay the last few games when Pearce hasnt been playing.
The issue isnt Bowyer playing players out of position in general... Its playing them out of position and being the direct cause of issues, Smyth at RWB in the reverse fixture thats been the problem with that regard

Pearce is Pearce, you know what you get. He has never been the league 1 John Terry type some people make out.
If he had played Gunter at CB and Matthews at right back, that's OK with me. That's not the big issue. It's things like playing JFC on the right of a diamond.
Matthews playing left back at Hull was understandable until 5 minutes after kick off. He should have either swapped Matthews and Maatsen round or gone 5 at the back with those to as wing backs. He didn't and that, in my opinion, made you post match defence of it invalid.
It's the silly, self proving, things that are so wrong. Millar can't start Tuesday because he has tight hammies, yet he played 50 odd minutes. He could have started and come off after an hour (with 15 minutes break). Why didn't Purrington play Tuesday? Why was 442 the way to win games then go back to the diamond?
You don't make 11 changes in 2 games if you got it right first, or even second time, do you?

If we had lost today we would have got 18 points from 17 games in a poor L1. Not surprising if people had been restless. But we didn't so I am not sure why it is relevant what people would have said. Let's all just enjoy the win rather than trying to stoke up an argument about something that never happened.

Let's not forget Pratley played at CB whilst Deji sat on the bench, again overlooked. That decision looking poor now given the latter's form (and you could definitely argue it played a part in the result as Pratley ended up being sent off, possibly frustrated at being out of position). You say it didn't led directly to us conceding which I don't think is entirely accurate. We looked disjointed from the very beginning and Matthews' poor defending played a part in the first goal.
Generally, I agree with your point, our poor run cannot be down just to playing players out of position. It's definitely contributed, you mentioned Smyth and Pratley also had a couple of poor games at CB wondering out of position. CB has been the biggest talking point but I do have some sympathy with Bowyer with the injuries, although he should have brought in Deji for Hull because Pratley was poor the game before. Then we went through a stage of changing the CB partnership every game, how could you build that relationship with the keeper when that is happening. No surprise that Amos' form dipped too.
But yes it's not fair to only mention the times it hasn't worked when it has worked at times too. Shinnie played RM today and also had a good game earlier in the season at LM. I think what was the issue is that we were on a bad run and Bowyer was constantly trying new things. Even though the errors may not necessarily have come from the odd tactics, I think it's naive to say they didn't have an effect. I truly believe the players, just like the fans were confused. The constant changes meant we failed to build any partnerships and stability throughout the side. Each week there was a different surprise in the line up. I was talking to my brother yesterday and we mentioned how 6 players have played LM this season, a position that we've never even really had under Bowyer before.
I have criticised Bowyer and I think it was entirely justified. I feel he has generally struggled over the last couple of months and the tactics, formations etc were as a result of that. Sacking him may have been premature but I still do believe that would (and still could) be the end result if he reverts back to messing around too much. Hopefully with some players coming back from injury we don't need to be playing players out of position. Yesterday showed that just playing simply tactics is going to work against a load of teams in this divison. We will need to vary it up because you become easy to play against, but you don't need to be changing the formation, personnel and tactics every single game.
I really think we should put all this bed for everyone’s sake. Can’t see any chance of this happening now until the end of season and it’s just fuelling stance taking.
One think I think is clear, had Bowyer been sacked in the week (or at any of the other stages people have wanted it recently), then after the game yesterday the backdrop would have been ‘that’s why we had to make the change, the players weren’t playing for Bowyer, he was holding us back, we can have a real run at the play offs now’.
The latter is still very much the case. Let’s all strap in and watch the team go on a run into the end of the season without the sacking backdrop. If the good run I’m expecting doesn’t materialise, there’s a real debate to be had come May.
I really think we should put all this bed for everyone’s sake. Can’t see any chance of this happening now until the end of season and it’s just fuelling stance taking.

One guy on facebook has said that Bowyer should have been booted out 3 weeks ago. He then went on to say if the new guy coming in did not achieve the play offs then they should be sacked!
Some fans expect perfection - managers who never go on a bad run. If it was up to them they'd never get that perfection they demand as we'd be constantly sacking managers and rebuilding the squad.
If we had lost today there would have been a mountain of posts questioning Bowyer's position.
All very predictable.
No.
Answer the question then.....
I did.
No you didn't. Here it is again

Which of course, I cannot, as has been mentioned with only having seen three games since 2017.
As for Dundee...
So your unequivocal defence of Bowyer is based on...............
Okay sunshine you win, I cannot deal with somebody having the last word. I'm having a nice time with England beating the men in kilts at rugby.
Sleep well.
Still waiting for an answer.
Don't give it the Billy big bollocks then back off. Either answer the question or don't write cheques you can't afford to cash.
NEVER question the motives of people that want nothing more than 3 points on Saturday if you can't be arsed watching more than a game a year.
Well England did not beat Scotland And Lee Bowyer is still the right man for the Job. We are still in the Playoff Zone and our Squad is Getting stronger. Soon our top defenders will be back, and our Newer players will have jelled with one another

And there you have it the Doshatalot revolving door policy. Haven’t we had enough of that since 2014? Thank goodness TS is taking a more pragmatic view at least until the end of the season because he is the only one who can pull the trigger, no matter how much tub thumping is going on.

Troll? Really?
There have been plenty complaining about Pearce being in a starting line up of late and have been calling for Gunter (a RB) to play there in his stead?
I even had to deal with that debate after Hull when Bowyer played Maatsen and Matthews in the wrong positions (neither decision led directly to us conceding) and yet its suddenly been okay the last few games when Pearce hasnt been playing.
The issue isnt Bowyer playing players out of position in general... Its playing them out of position and being the direct cause of issues, Smyth at RWB in the reverse fixture thats been the problem with that regard

It was a very different feeling throughout the game, my only criticism was not giving Smith a run out when JFC/Pratley were tiring.
We need a run of at least 8 games where we don't lose.
Have to attempt to chase 2nd spot.
Can't handle the playoffs again!
Just need to keep winning. Pretty simple.
Or do you think any one criticising Bowyer is as a player as he was in the team the last time you saw us play?
