That was a very important game and we blew it....we ain’t going anywhere this season1
-
too many subs in quick succession and we lost our shape4
-
We not going up.0
-
If we stopped making defensive errors and improved our finishing we'd be a good team.

The rest of league are going pull away soon and we spend the rest of the season wondering if we are touching distance of 6th.
But its ok, the bowyer in brigade have their win at Bristol Rovers. Good for them.2 -
I didn't see the game & only caught the tail end of the match thread but did read that on this form JFC was the best midfielder in the division. Maybe an exaggeration but that wasn't the only post to praise him. That being the case why was he substituted for a guy who hasn't played for months due to injury. Was JFC tiring ? Injured ? Not trying to slag Bowyer just wondered the reason behind it.0

We’ll do them in the playoffs.6

At the time JFC was the one in the centre on a caution (Pratley got booked at the death), a lot of Peterborough's play went through the middle of the pitch so there was much greater risk of him getting a second booking rather than Smyth and Millar3 -
Deji and Pearce trying to defend a high ball

Happy to write this game off as the pitch was pathetic and no football was allowed to be played on it. Not sure how games like that go ahead nowadays especially with the injuries players can pick up. Stupid individual errors cost us today nothing else. Now with most of the players back and playing in the right positions it’s time go on a run. If it doesn’t start Saturday against Swindon it never will. Still absolutely gutted though and pissed off with another Pearce mistake.8

Will say one thing...Peterborough arent the team they were made out to be. They'll fade away at some point.9

I hate digging individuals but for me Pearce doesn’t play again.
He has to come and win that header for their first goal! He is the leader! He then makes the same mistake 5 minutes later, letting the ball drop and getting turned. This comes after making the same mistake against Accrington!Oshilaja was pretty solid again who seems to come in for a lot of criticism and question!Even Pratley comes to meet that header tonight! Extremely poor!8 -
Start negatively, end negatively.
Compensating for too many ‘elite athletes’ who can only do half a job whether that be in fitness or skill which isn’t Bowyers fault no.
Nevertheless, a loss is always welcome when change is needed, it proves something.2 -
Interested to hear others thoughts but I personally didn't think Peterborough were wonderful tonight which has made the loss even more frustrating. Basic errors cost us yet again. Only criticism of Bows tonight is why bring Pearce into a defence that finally kept a clean sheet at weekend!
Unfortunately we don't create enough threatening chances. Do we look at getting another CB this window as surely we can't keep waiting for Famewo and Inniss to come back. Even then they're not going to be fully fit straight away!!
Positive I thiught we showed a lot of fight and resilience in that first half which was great to see. Felt we was in control. Really like look of Millar on the left.
The equaliser killed us and we didn't offer a thing for rest of match.
Need to win Saturday2 -
It's as if that ball is there for Gunter to head in and somebody, says just before he does ' I dare you to cock it up from here'. We are one of the teams capable of that at the moment.0

It’s almost as if the squads have been decimated year after year and we’ve only had 2 weeks to rebuild, leaving us with only the dregs from other squads, injury prone players and journeymen. Some players qualify for all three at once.Bowyer and Jackson have somehow managed to turn it into a competitive side, probably missing 2 or 3 players to really be a force in this league. Yet time and time again the players let the management down with stupid individual errors. The same again tonight, absolutely nothing in it against a side that’s had years to build to a promotion winning team - the players let everyone down again. People will still say it’s Bowyers fault and the likes of Paul Cook could magically save it all.9

Gutted.Ugly, ugly game.Played the match perfectly for 60 mins and then fell apart - so frustrating for 2 individual errors to cost us.
The Gunter miss looks so costly, we didn’t look likely to come away with anything after they equalised.
I though Amos could have done more with the 2nd too. Surely he can read that ball? He’s still stood on his line when the striker receives the ball!Pearce really does look finished for us unfortunately although Deji doesn’t do him any favours for the first.JFC is absolutely vital to us at the moment, we were very poor after he went off.
The conditions were absolutely suited to Pratley and he shithoused and Brexited his way through 90 minutes effectively.Bogle was better than normal but still not great - Washington played well.
The less said about the performances put in by Aneke and Schwartz the better - awful.
Not on Bowyer that one. Just a shitshow finish to the game. Very annoying.9 - Sponsored links:

Bowyer saying that someone had to take control of the header for their first goal so blaming both Deji and Pearce
Saying its two poor goals and we were in control up until then which I'd agree with5 -
It was not to be tonight.
Hopes were high when we went 1 up and we were in charge. 6 points to Peterborough makes it more difficult to catch them, particularly with their games in hand. But, we played well with a lot of fighting displays.
I will start to worry when we have our first choice defensive players back and we continue to leak easy goals. I don't think that will happen. I think we will start to win more matches and look more comfortable in the table.
Playoffs probable; promotion position probable if we get the best players in a settled team for the remainder of the season.2 -
-
What part of that was a decent performance? We had nothing upfront and conceded two goals again.Peterborough were nothing special.Sailing into a season of Mid-table obscurity.
This isn’t a blip.8 -
Good effort to stop a much superior team from playing first half but we are simply not very good, particularly when our best players are always on the bench.
How many of the starting 11 would make it into our play off team ? Amos maybe. Maatsen. . That's it.
Hardly Bowyer’s fault.0 -

Bowyer VP interview:
”A bit of a battle out there, but we felt comfortable.”
”One long punt up the pitch, centre halves don’t take control and it’s a 1 on 1 with our keeper”
”it’s disappointing, you can’t give goals away like that”
”we was on the front foot and competing and winning a lot of the balls.”
”it’s cost us today. Basic defending”
”From nothing they score again. Two poor goals. They wasn’t hurting us at all. As of late we’re giving away stupid goals”
”we’re never getting promoted giving away poor goals and mistakes like that. It’s not good enough”16
