That was a very important game and we blew it....we ain’t going anywhere this season
  • too many subs in quick succession and we lost our shape
  • We not going up.
  • If we stopped making defensive errors and improved our finishing we'd be a good team.

Where was the shape in the 2nd half? Looked like Bowyer sent subs out without any instructions for them or the rest of the team on the pitch.

The rest of league are going pull away soon and we spend the rest of the season wondering if we are touching distance of 6th.

But its ok, the bowyer in brigade have their win at Bristol Rovers. Good for them.
Your name doesn’t come as a surprise
By jove, I think you've nailed it there. The manager obviously sends the team out without any instructions - no instructions at all. You're a genius son, pure genius.
  • I didn't see the game & only caught the tail end of the match thread but did read that on this form JFC was the best midfielder in the division. Maybe an exaggeration but that wasn't the only post to praise him. That being the case why was he substituted for a guy who hasn't played for months due to injury. Was JFC tiring ? Injured ? Not trying to slag Bowyer just wondered the reason behind it.

Seemed that apart from the Strikers; Bowyer mainly chose to substitute those on a booking

At the time JFC was the one in the centre on a caution (Pratley got booked at the death), a lot of Peterborough's play went through the middle of the pitch so there was much greater risk of him getting a second booking rather than Smyth and Millar

  • Start negatively, end negatively.

Compensating for too many ‘elite athletes’ who can only do half a job whether that be in fitness or skill which isn’t Bowyers fault no.

Nevertheless, a loss is always welcome when change is needed, it proves something.

  • Interested to hear others thoughts but I personally didn't think Peterborough were wonderful tonight which has made the loss even more frustrating. Basic errors cost us yet again. Only criticism of Bows tonight is why bring Pearce into a defence that finally kept a clean sheet at weekend!

Unfortunately we don't create enough threatening chances. Do we look at getting another CB this window as surely we can't keep waiting for Famewo and Inniss to come back. Even then they're not going to be fully fit straight away!!

Positive I thiught we showed a lot of fight and resilience in that first half which was great to see. Felt we was in control. Really like look of Millar on the left.

The equaliser killed us and we didn't offer a thing for rest of match.

    Need to win Saturday
  • It's as if that ball is there for Gunter to head in and somebody, says just before he does ' I dare you to cock it up from here'. We are one of the teams capable of that at the moment.

We’ll do them in the playoffs.
Hope so but have a feeling we won't make the play offs.

Another defeat. Another two goals conceded. Zero attacking threat.

How many teams have better squads than us in this league?
Squad not that relevant the when the team was made up of so many squad players. Our 3rd and 4th choice centre backs, Pratley who we need replace in summer (if not possible this month), our 3rd and 4th choice strikers, Smyth a squad player at best. That’s not a promotion winning team, while Peterborough had an 11 out there that should at least make the play-offs.

Couple of absolute jokers already turned up on Player Marks with 'Bogle 4' preloaded regardless of what happened in the actual game
Yeah you are right. I should go back and change my marks to the same as yours because that's what it's all about isn't it.

    Pillock
What did he do that was so bad then? He had an improved game and our strike force lost its teeth when him and Washington went off.
  • It was not to be tonight.

Hopes were high when we went 1 up and we were in charge. 6 points to Peterborough makes it more difficult to catch them, particularly with their games in hand. But, we played well with a lot of fighting displays.

I will start to worry when we have our first choice defensive players back and we continue to leak easy goals. I don't think that will happen. I think we will start to win more matches and look more comfortable in the table.

Playoffs probable; promotion position probable if we get the best players in a settled team for the remainder of the season.

We won't if we don't improve.
  • Good effort to stop a much superior team from playing first half  but we are simply not very good, particularly when our best players are always  on the bench.

How many of the starting 11 would  make it into our play off team ? Amos maybe. Maatsen. . That's it.

    Hardly Bowyer’s fault.
  • Bowyer saying that someone had to take control of the header for their first goal so blaming both Deji and Pearce
Tbf they have got mouths in there head...bit of talking to each other and there would have been no issues.
  • Bowyer's on now. Not a happy bunny unsurprisingly.
  • Bowyer very dispondent
