My main issue with the football under JJ was it was pretty awful to watch.
Yes. And on top of that last season we were the dirtiest team in League 1 with 106 bookings and 4 red cards. That's around 2.5 cards per match.
And yet this year, so far, we've had a total of 4 cards in 5 league games. (If you don't include Garner's yellow!) That's some difference.
As Paolo Maldini said, "if I have to make a tackle, then I have already made a mistake". (Probably the greatest defender of all time averaged 0.56 tackles per game.)
Wimbledon fans expect promotion, not sure they get it with him at the helm, unfortunately
Not sure how anyone can judge how good/bad a manager JJ is based on half a season as a manager with us. No need to go over old ground but he did a reasonable enough job in his time with us.
He obviously impressed enough to get the AFC Wimbledon job and has had a pretty reasonable start all things considered. They are a proper old fashioned club who usually give managers time and it's an environment I could see him flourishing in. All the best to him.
