What a great night.......6-0 away from home, everyone played their part and it was an excellent team performance. Its all back in our hands now, play off place is ours to take, other results went our way, now is the time to be as positive as possible and lets see if Wembley can call us again!!! great night and goodnight!!
Just been on the Sunderland fans forum - all sound very p***ed off with their manager.
Was a big opportunity for them tonight - Peterborough lost and Sunderland were leading vs Hull. Could've put them back in the automatic race. They've probably fucked it now though.
What a great result, all credit to Nigel and the boys for this run!
As we all said in the dying days of the Bowyer regime the biggest issue we had was the goals we were conceding, it is impossible to succeed when shipping two goals per game.
Since Adkins came in we conceded two at Wimbledon in his first game but only one goal in the four games since then - and that a late consolation for the Mackems.
If you concede first then your task gets so much harder and we have finally stopped doing that.
I've felt all along 75 points will be enough - three wins from 5 would get us there. 73 could well be enough, still, in which case all we need is 2 wins and a draw, but 75 would be more comfortable - Pompey would need to win all 4 of their games to top 75 and they are just not in that kind of form. The nice thing is, we probably do not need to beat either Posh or Lincoln now, but I suspect we will take points from at least one of them.
Settling for a point on Saturday vs Ipswich now fully vindicated in the light of tonight's results.
Only just flicked on here as watched the Valley pass coverage to the very end.
The coverage tonight was just superb. Minto and Curbs their usual selves - Minto the absolute professional and Curbs, well just Curbs - but Dean Kylie was brilliant as well - knowledgeable, entertaining and spoke so well.
I cannot believe that there is any club in the country turning out such a professional show as us. We are so lucky. And Lord I'm going to miss it if it has to stop next season.
Looking good for the playoffs now. I thought there was no chance a few games ago. An incredible turnaround in form & performances that I couldn't see coming. Nigel Adkins has really got us ticking.
To be fair to Bowyer, he's overseen a similar turnaround at Birmingham. It's a situation that has worked out really well for both clubs.

Got a few players going noticeably better than a few weeks ago - Amos, Pearce, Gilbey, Jaiyesimi, dare I say Watson?
Curbs saying he likes Millar a lot is enough for me as well. He was my MOM tonight.
Hopefully Plymouth have the usual post-thrashing backlash in their next game - away at Oxford.

confidence and a smart manager makes
confidence 👍👍👍👍👍
He's attracted a lot of fair criticism in the last year, but Pearcy has been faultless in recent weeks.

Still improvements required. We started horrendously slowly again. Should have scored 7 (Chuks!). And, er that’s about it.
We’re developing a cutting edge, and real solidity at the back, which augers well.

Absolutely buzzing. Looking forward to Saturday.
