No faith in this manager or the players. Awful stuff, this is possibly the worst Charlton team I’ve seen, and we’ve had some crap. He has to go for me, give it to Jacko and see how we go. Davison did more in 10 minutes than Stockley has done in 3 games. He needs to be dropped.

Gunter can do one, Charlie Barker is a better option than him and less of a liability. It’s going to be a long season.
Bringing Jackson to the post could not be progress.  Surely he has input and is part of the blame.
IF we are to out Adkins I'd bring in Warnock and shake things up.
Warnock ? .. keep up Elfs he's the manager of Middlesbrough .. you reckon he'd chuck that in to join us ?

TS and a bloody awful window is to blame, not Adkins. However, let’s just kick Adkins out anyway, can’t blame TS. However, we will soon.

    Was at the game.

Boring, plain and simple. Tactics are rubbish and we set up for a 0-0. Jason Pearce should not be starting for us in 2021. Pathetic and gutless, only one whose gets credit is CBT and even though he was average. Can’t explain how bad and boring that was, again.

5th game of the season for me and thought we were rubbish in all 5. Starting to look like one of the relegation teams I have seen from the championship.

We made 6 changes and we are demanding more changes. It shows that Adkins cannot get a settled side out.
  • Any truth in the rumour Curbs not on Valley TV today as he's in negotiations with TS?
None whatsoever. He is sunning himself in Croatia. Where, after today's "performance", if he has any sense he will stay for a long time.

Adkins is probably showing he is out of his depth. Due to being out of management for more than 2 years. We need some one with good recent experience and that is not Curbs.
Only problem is who would want to manage this squad of  poor ability players.
  • Who recruited Adkins …….
Adkins record is a good one. Made sense to go for him.

    I keep saying it
4-4-2 with Stockley and Leko upfront.

FFS, he took Leko off - the fans let NADS know that was a mistake.

NADS will be gone by the end of the month.
Start Davison. Stockley needs the treatment DJ and Kirk got.

Leko and CBT out wide, Davison and Washington up top.

Can't he just go now please? The next two matches will be my first for 25 months.

Why suffer two more certain defeats when it's not necessary?

Last ten minutes glossed over what was truly a terrible performance. Could have been 5-0.

Away end turned toxic too quickly. Can't imagine Jackson enjoyed hearing singing for Adkins to be sacked and then chants for himself to be manager. He'll know that does nothing for the team.

Listening to Morts and Bolder after NA had said his piece, they, along with Minto were saying we should play 4-4-2 with the squad we have, they were talking a lot of sense, even saying that Stockley would benefit, and the other players could concentrate on the game (knowing all about 4-4-2) and not have to worry about unfamiliar formations......now that to me needs to be the way to go...at least until we win a few games and get our confidence back!!

I think we should start looking at some of the performances of the players. There has been some absolute shockers, yes they may be suffering from tactics or lack of them but some of them need shaking. You can look through the seven games and see people not putting a shift in, if Adkins is to blame, its for not getting these players playing at 100% every week.

    Yeah, blame it on immigrants.

It's all the fault of the EU.

Went out for a great motorcycle ride today in Kent with 20 others over to Boxhill. Had a great time and loads of laughs, great scenery and sunshine. Just got home , in the garden , mug of Tea, saw the result, not surprised.
A Spitfire then flew over! Happy days.
Sorry Thomas, no more of my money till Adkins is gone, bit of golf, some fishing and some relaxing Saturdays out till its sorted!!!

Listening to Adkins on Radio London- Lots of players not fit to play 90 mins - how does that happen 7 to 8 games into a season.

Transfer window on Sangaard + . Hoof ball to Stockley & continuing with tactics & strategy clearly  not working- that’s on Adkins.

Not sure 🤔 how he stays in the job if this keeps up.

    Slept though it!
Five miles of fresh Sussex air this morning zonked me out until 5.30 (frustrating afternoon avoided!)
And I guessed the correct score in the Prediction League.
    #walking #smiling

    Awaiting OohAhh's analysis ( #shitrating ) and percentages...

Gills stuffed at home today. If we go there on Tuesday and fail to get anything but a convincing win I think we will see changes at the top.
No excuses about bedding players in ffs.
CBT has to start, rather barker than gunter, deji for pearce, lee starts, stockley doesnt, my brief thoughts on stopping the rot
Will we go there and even attempt to win it? That is how you get out of a poor run. Too many cowards out there on the pitch playing the safe ball and not making incisive runs. We are toothless and pathetic and at least we ought to start Tuesday how we finished today but we won't as we are a bunch of bottlers.

Then we bought the wrong players or he is doing something wrong … disappointing interview, took no responsibility at all, mainly said we lost because Wycombe are such a good team … which infers he knows that his ‘team’ is not good
  • Wasn't there so can only go on reports but we don't seem to have any discernable, consistent pattern of play.

Big decision now for TS. I'm told TS was fulsome in his praise NA and the team spirit on Thursday but the players aren't doing it on the pitch which is what matters.

I'm not someone who calls for managers to go after every defeat and I think managers need time but this isn't working.

Right now, and I know right after a  defeat isn't the best time for rational decision making, I say JJ and Euell as caretakers, see if they can get a tune out of this lot.

There is enough in this squad to at least compete in games. Currently we aren't even doing that.

TS being in the country at least means he's seeing the games live and hearing the fans' response. And also that he can speak to NA direct.  And TS might feel that if he is going to sack him he needs to do it face to face.

    😞

    Unbelievably poor
  • He's got to go. If it was Ged Roddy who recommended him from their time at Reading, I would sack him as well. It might only be seven games but we have seen this coming from the first game when we patently weren't ready to compete as a side and arguably still aren't. If that was Roddy's idea, he should definitely go.

Reading Sandgards tweet has made me even more cheesed off.
  • Only Charlton Athletic could get a stable owner and a well known manager at this level and actually get WORSE!

Adkins looks clueless and I think letting JJ have 5-10 games with this squad to see what he can do wouldn’t be the worst move.

Fancy hiring a Nigel in the first place….
Im not sure JJ is the answer, like the fella, spoke a few times but for me he's been in and around shittyness for a few years.

Not sure how much of a tactical influence he has tho. He’s coaching but you can work for hours on the training pitch and lose a game on a Saturday cos the gam plan is all wrong. Think he has total respect of the players as well.
