Adkins saying we should have had a stonewall pen before their second, and suggesting the second itself was offside. Poor excuses or frustratingly accurate?
Sounds like if we had got anything from this game it would have been incredibly fortunate. Very much excuses
I’m not usually one for calling on a change of manager, but it feels like the time to shake things up. For whatever reason it’s not working and we simply need results. How long can you leave it?
Only potentially good thing from NA is that Lee is 'ill' so may be back soon. We have nobody else with his skill and energy to link midfield and attack.

Camera angles made it difficult for both.
Stockley was on the floor in the penalty area with his arms out towards the ref... Little got made of it from the players so think it tells you everything - Referees dont seem interesting in giving him any fouls anyway.
I went to Fleetwood and wondered if we might be turning the corner but that was just dire. Lee's substitution might understandably have unsettled us for a few minutes - instead we just completely stopped passing with any purpose.
Nobody took control, nobody beat their man to create space, nobody ran into space to receive the ball - at times they visibly did the opposite. The og was completely unnecessary.
This was all against a poor team missing players whilst after two wins we had close to a full squad and cover in every position. If the manager can't oversee a better performance - regardless of the result - under those circumstances then it's difficult to see how he ever will.
Literally no plan B, Lee came off injured and Adkins and the side had no clue what to do for the rest of the half. Kirk is not influencal enough to boss the game from the number 10 position, and Souare was left 2 on 1 every attack.
Special shout out to Famewo who seems to get worse with every passing game

Oh definitely didn’t deserve anything. I guess we’re not even undeservedly lucky.
I've said it multiple times and I'll say it again, he won't be sacked.
Though I'm not a fan of protests after all we have been through in recent years with RD but maybe something like that might push TS to do the right thing.
Pack it in.
We need a new CEO, new manager, new coaching team, and in January a proper transfer window with proper players coming in.
Note I am NOT saying new owner. I am saying new CEO.
Whole structure of the club needs tearing up.
More than happy then for TS to sit in front of a crackling log fire in Colorado hoping the offensive line is scoring more penalty strikes. And I couldn’t care less if he wants to pen 20 new ditty’s and builds up a songbook to rival Lennon and McCartney.
But sort our fucking club out and get someone to do the work of running it day to day.
I'm always loathe to blame the manager solely as players with character (Arter, that was it today) will make something happen in a game like that, players like Kirk, Leko, Blackett-Taylor have to do more than receive the ball and play it straight back, thats where we miss Liam Millar, receive in a tight spot and get us up the pitch but our players today were hiding to be blunt. They showed for the ball to an extent then sent it safe and cowardly backwards for someone else to whack it forward.
Lincoln were unlucky not to win that by 3 or 4. The defending today was consistently abysmal, Gunter doing his usual daydreamers routine and the centre halves weren't much better, very naive defending and whilst he is an excellent shotstopper, McGilvery is a liability of a keeper, doesn't dominate his penalty area and his distribution is appalling.
Where the blame lies with Adkins is I have no idea how we are meant to be playing, we cannot play off the break because we are too poor defensively and too hesitant with the ball going forwards yet on paper have the players to do it.
Adkins needs to change things when it is not working, we again got dominated like a weak dog in midfield so pack the fucking midfield out and win the possession battle, push your full backs up and be a compact unit.
We fell apart when Lee went off usual story good for a short spell at the very start of a game and then revert to giving the ball to the opposition, hiding, coasting, daydreaming and waiting for someone else to make something happen
The only player who comes out of this game with credit is Harry Arter and we are in a relegation fight for the next 6 games
Each player seems to be playing as an individual in a team game. That is down to the manager. We are playing actual teams that play like teams. Dreadful.
Jon Fortune and Curbs saying just on todays performance alone we're not playing well enough to get a run going. Both think we're in a relegation battle....but need to win on Tuesday and need the fans behind them. They are, reading between the lines, thinking we're in big trouble and MUST put a run together. I'm not sure they think NA can change this. Says it all really!
When you think this gutless bunch of wankers can't get any worse, they serve up that. Pathetic from the minute Lee went off.
It is the middle of October and our fitness levels look like the first week of pre-season. It's an embarrassment.
We have a team of players who either cannot understand the manager's vision or a manager with no idea how to set up his team. Probably a mixture of both.
The back four are a joke, how many times did we stop a cross coming into the box? How many times did a player get the wrong side of a centre half?
Our wide players are incapable of providing any support for the fullbacks, time and time again Gunter and Soare are left exposed.
There is no threat going forward. Nothing. We loose our way consistently during matches - it's probably the only thing we do consistently.
There is no backbone, no leadership and at the moment very little hope of turning this round.
It feels like a tailspin that is not going to be addressed by this manager or any of the coaching staff.
The level of performance from this squad of players is shameful.
It sounds like lots of us are feeling the same disconnect from the team as I am. I've not set foot in the stadium this season and have zero intention of doing so.
Interesting that Fortune and Curbishley are now saying that they don't see how this team will put a run together.
Adkins interview was telling he is now moaning about referees rather than questioning the utter shit his team have just served up. He needs to look at himself, he has done nothing to effect what was happening today. He stubbornly sticks with this formation and we stubbornly refuse to perform or show any threat when we play it.
Something needs to change. Removing all the players is not an option. Removing the manager is. Sorry Nigel it's time to go.
He had Arter who is short of games, Gilbey who has just returned from serious Covid and Old man Watson on the bench. I looked at it when it was announced and wondered if we would run out of gas but I didn't expect to be outclassed, which in all honesty we were. Totally, in League One against the 17th placed team.
Need 5 wins by the new year or we’ll be losing touch completely.
Jon Fortune talking plainly. Refreshing.
can’t be arsed to stay up for Nigel’s match report. Which is all he does.
Can you give us a quick summary @Cloudworm, for those of us who've not got the stream?
Also as a quick reminder to everybody, the match thread is for everybody, including people who haven't got access to the stream or commentary, so don't be a dickhead and post spoof goal notifications on it.
I’ve not abused Adkins or the players in the recent dog shit games and still won’t bring myself to do it BUT today I’ve lost patience, we are 12 games in and look worse every game.
Every Charlton fan is now united in the fact that he has to go! This is the worst start to a season in our clubs 100 year plus history and we are sleep walking to league two with this clown. Sandgaard grow some and get rid of him before it’s too late.
I'd normally be re-arranging meetings at work Tuesday so I could get out at 4:30 for the game. Instead I'm really pleased I have a 4:30-5:30pm meeting and therefore won't have to go!
Come Tuesday morning and you’ll be rearranging it :-)
Every single player was poor today, but Kirk took the biscuit. An absolutely embarrassing performance from him. He doesn’t deserve a single penny of his wages - absolute disgrace.
I was not overly impressed with Kirk against us last season. He is quite a slow and ponderous player. Hope he has it in him to up the levels but am worried by what I'm seeing (or not seeing)!
Only listened to the game, but just looked at the player marks thread....they are truly awful....sums up the game I listened to; and the scores seem unanimously poor and back it up.

JF said no positives from the game. He and Curbs bemused as to why Watson didn't come on for Lee and Gilbey push up. Curbishley also pretty much saying we're in a relegation battle. JF "All three of us are sat here at half-time saying the system isn't working..."
They're as confused by the decisionns as the we are and they can't disguise it.

I guess you're only joking about having him back? Hopefully
Drop this into TSs in tray......... He should make the first step tonight.
It might be time to consider getting a new one.
