Tuesday's game is massive. If we want to catch the top 6, we have to play them and beat them - we won Saturday but the gap is still 12 points so this is a big opportunity, as are the next 2 home games after - win them and its game on - lose them and its season over - i think we can, and will, win them
Sport is a mix of confidence and ability - under Adkins we looked nervous and bereft of confidence. On Saturday the football was flowing and players looked like they knew what they were doing. I know Doncaster were poor but we looked a different side.
Had to leave after 15 minutes, Mrs GA still hasn’t recovered from covid and she had an anxiety attack, or it could be the excitement of going to Morecambe away, so I missed the win. Can’t remember the last time I’ve seen us win in the flesh, as I missed the Crewe game.
Hope she's OK Guinness.
I don't suppose you would consider leaving 15 minutes into every game until we lose would you?
Can't ask more from JJ and the players than two wins and two clean sheets since NA went. Onwards and upwards hopefully.
She was at home, so i walked out and the bloke on the door, couldn't believe I was leaving. What makes it worse is that I sit two along from @TelMc32. there's father and his grown up son between us. My brother used my ST on the first game of the season and asked them if they would mind moving up, they said no. I sat behind Tel at the last game and notice that the dad was sitting in my seat, leaving a gap between the two of them. As I entered my row, I saw that the dad was in my seat and asked if they minded to move up one and they answered no, so I said then I suggest you get out of my seat, I had about 10 seats empty to my left and could have moved up and thought fuck it. Only to leave after 15 mins.
What arseholes, moving a seat along is hardly a great inconvenience.
They were confused 'Insulate' rebels and had superglued themselves to their seats to force the club to insulate the Cupboard End.

Don’t think so, as the glue seems to wear off in the 85th minute every game when they get up to leave! 🤷🏻♂️😂
Has anyone noticed that fat guy with his arse out when Washington takes the penalty?
Yes, sadly we had to watch all his antics until he was removed! He provoked our fans in the East Stand, running up and down, mouthing it, and someone was thrown out. It put me off my half time cuppa and chocolate!

The thing was Dobson wasn't everywhere - Jackson has instilled some discipline in him so that he sticks to his job and doesn't go chasing after everything as he was doing at the start of the season under Adkins.
Yep, there was a moment, when I thought: "Dobson, stay wide stay available" as he ran back inside when we had the ball.
Within about three seconds we'd lost it and Dobson (in perfect position) had won it back!
Unfortunately missed the game, due to personal reasons.
Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.
Also hope we get some better extended highlights.
Well there's ten minutes on Charlton TV if you're a subscriber (although in reality it's less than that due to the replays) which includes Famewo's spoonfoot incident, the Purrington & Lee goalmouth scramble, the one Stockley headed straight at the keeper etc. By the way, who is it that does that lovely little backheel to Stockley for the cross to Gilbey in the last bit of the highlights, Purrington or Washington?
I think DJ needs to realise he only needs to beat his opponent just the once before doing the next thing. He doesn’t have to try to better the guy twice before a cross, or shot, or pass or run. If nothing else, sometimes overdone jiggery pokery allows the opposition to get more players back and ready.

In his defence, a lot of the time under Adkins he wouldn't have had much to aim for with first time crosses. Hopefully the new system will rectify that.

He definitely was getting the crosses in much quicker on Saturday.
Interesting to see Jaiyesimi back to his old self and CBT now not replacing Leko, up to recently Leko and CBT were our best players.
CBT looked very exciting in patches, but I would say he was almost entirely anonymous in his last 2 or 3 appearances. He certainly hasn't looked someone you could just to track back as a wingback, ever if our shape has been pushing the right sided wingback very high up the pitch. Impact sub is probably the right role for him at the moment.

Exactly
Just one person in the box, Stockley standing like a statue and marked by 2 defenders, gives the crosser little hope. Now we have far more players in the box, including Purrington ghosting in at the back post.

It does make a difference when you know there are bodies in there to take advantage of a decent cross.
What makes it even more remarkable for Dobson is the fact he's almost doing the job on his own of acting as that anchor in front of the Defence - Under Adkins we usually had two of them back there to cover, and as we saw from the opening games; Dobson did struggle
I think that was part of the problem, players getting in each other's way, because they didn't understand their role. Was it MK or Oxford when Morgan & Dobson collided and the opposition scored?

I think you’re referring to the MK goal in the first half.
Not sure you can lump Morgan in with Dobson there, Dobson completely lost his head and charged out of his position and didn’t win the ball.

Let's hope it continues...
