We're in a bit of a Catch 22, really. We need young talent to avoid paying through the backside for experienced players, but as soon as they've had even a sniff of first team action, they're off. I just hope that some sense is being exercised and that at least we get to loan them back for at least a season; if Burstow is off, then we are distinctly short in the striker department; not least because we are all bracing ourselves for bad news on the Stockley injury front.

It’s a bit of a coincidence it pops up right at the end of the window, when he’s literally just broken into the first team and scored a couple of goals.

We released Shinnie so it's not like we would have to give him a new contract in the summer and gets round the loan issue. It probably wouldn't cost us anything either.
Can’t see anyone taking a punt on Burstow today. He’s not shown enough yet, any serious interest I reckon would happily pay a mill or two more and see how he performs over the next few months with an eye on the summer

Football has some serious money floating around to chuck at basically punts. Bonkers
When the window opened we were looking to bring in two and possibly three players. Burstow has displaced Davison and we have added Chucks. We have bought in a left wing back who is out of contract in the summer so if he does well we may be able to make permanent. The extra one is an exciting youngster who looks destined for the Spurs 1st team in the near future. Overall a good January window.
Now we after a fourth and yet some are saying it is another disaster. If we do manage to get one of the two suggested targets on a permanent it will change a good window to a fantastic window IMO. We are edging towards having a squad of players that are actually our players which is good.
