I think he got injured in March/April.  He’s had a couple of months to recover already.

I don’t think this will ever be fixed, and I think we’ll reach the point where he’ll have to retire.

I can’t see the club funding specialist further research on him, given how we are at the moment.  I expect they’ll just do what they can with the physios we have and hope for the best.

if we had more money, and we were on the up, perhaps you would invest more in him to try and sort it

This may sound harsh, but has he done anything to try and overcome it, other than the standard rehab stuff?  It’s his career, has he spent money on trying to get this looked at by specialists?   He may argue that’s the duty of the club, but he has to take ownership as well
doubt it - he spunked a massive bundle on some ludicrous mercedes dick substitute quasi range rover and he'll have done his back in with all the visits to the filling station
  • We’ll doing this thread for another two years yet.
  • All this talk of he should retire, he hasnt been seen etc. Anyone considered that he could be back in training and that he is undergoing a special training programme in a gym, working on strengthening his body in a way that he will be ready for the season, rather than doing sprints in hot temperatures which would increase the risk of injury?

    Fingers crossed that you’re right.
  • Have changed the thread title to save the confusion of Len Glover and others, even though there isn't any actual news.

My 'confusion' was somewhat tongue in cheek but that said with Chuks anything is possible injurywise.

  • I assumed as much Len, but I thought it was best changed before a ball was kicked in anger, making the risk of genuine misapprehension more likely.
  • How are people STILL getting his name wrong after this long? Jesus Christ.

It’s sad that many posters are ridiculing Chucks. I’m sure that chucks is just as frustrated and  even more so for him than us. Please show some compassion rather than laughing about someone else’s misfortune.
I don't see that many people ridiculing him as such, not in a spiteful way, it's mainly just people expressing their sheer frustration.

But if you're gonna ask for compassion then at least spell his name right.
  • You think we've got trouble?

Harry Arter will remain with Forest next season!

Arter has made just 14 appearances since he signed for Forest in 2020.  He likely earns a fortune after a clause in his contract gave him an extension following promotion.  At 33 Arter looks unlikely to get himself another club. He was collecting £38,000-a-week before his promotion pay increase and it doesn’t bear thinking about what wage he takes home now.

A very good counter discussion … spelling! 🥸

If you've chosen only to read my comment about spelling in that post then that's up to you mate!

If that's the case why the radio silence? If that is what we are doing with him then that doesn't need to be a secret does it?

Not his fault. Hard lesson for Forest.

He's had since the end of last season for all that.
  • Give the bloke a break I am sure he is more frustrated than anyone over his injury record and he didn’t force anyone to give him the contract

Hopefully his injury problems will abate and he will be able to contribute to the team because there is no doubt about his ability and what he can bring

I mean it's not like the club is being peppered with questions given it's the first week of pre season. It's just a bunch of people on a forum right now. He might be starting up front tomorrow.

We'll see what we start hearing as preseason matches start.

    Who gets Jesus’s name wrong?
We all do. If he actually existed at all he would have been called Yeshua - English spelling Joshua.

That’s not how Arsenal spell it on the back of his shirt
  • Fancy signing a player on a 3 year contract. If he'd only signed for a year we could have got shot of him  ;)
  • I know we'll find out tomorrow either way, but has there actually been any confirmation that he is still injured?

Or is this just speculation because he wasn't seen in a couple of training photos?

this is the issue for me - it shouldn't require anyone being "peppered with questions" - injury updates should be a matter of course - Even a monthly update/summary would do-  as Cabs has already said - he's been out since march/april - its July now and we have had nothing in any of that time.
Its the air of mystery all the time with us - CBT is another one who was injured towards the end of the season - why do we have to play "spot the player" in training pictures to work this stuff out??
  • I can't find the speculation on P60 :/
