The best 2 things about this season are :
1) We didn’t get relegated
2) It’s finished
the bar is low, very low.22 -
Deluded owner, no discernible strategy in any area (other than filling the Valley with undesirables) piss poor manager, threadbare squad and underwhelming plans which rely on loans……..

I can't really be bothered to comment on that other than to say we were so bad it honestly could have been 7 or 8.
An absolute and utter piss take to all those who spent good money and time travelling up there.
For the life of me I can't understand why Inniss started today instead of Elerewe especially if he is not going to be here next year..
Can only wonder if the players who are out of contract were told before the game that their contracts wouldn't be renewed and that was their response - eff you.
And much as I love JJ, I can't just see how he is the man to take us forward.10 -
Good core of players my arse Jacko!
1 dodgy keeper, 1 lower league CB who might turn out OK, 1 decent defensive mid, 1 creative mid we've barely seen since signing in January and 1 speedy winger who can't manage 90 mins, 1 decent forward who can't last 30 mins and a 1 paced giant up front who's hold up play with his back to goal is awful.8 -

I give up.7 -
Went out for lunch and other than occasionally checking the score, amazed how little interest I had. Just gutted for all those who went.
Scoreline didn’t surprise me at all, I think the players were effectively on holiday as soon as they finished clapping the crowd with their kids (and parents) after the game last week.
I’m not convinced all is happy behind the scenes. Think we are in for an interesting summer.10 -
Absolute shit - was there ?What is going on ?0

Johnnie determined to continue doing things his own way. That’s good in as much he’ll be in charge next season and he can be judged on that. No ifs, no buts. Top six by Christmas or he should go. At this point I’m resigned to that scenario but not hopeful.0

Played golf, instead of keeping track of the score, wasn’t surprised when I looked. The thing that hurts more about this season is the fact we had so much hope going into it compared to previous seasons with TS taking over. Based on that I don’t think I remember such a damp squib letdown of a season. Disastrous in fact. Whomever gets the boot from the coaches to the squad of players can have no argument, and good riddance.😤2

I’m usually one to see the good in players and defend them when they’re getting stick from the majority but I really really hope Alex Gilbey is moved on in the summer. He got into semi decent positions twice today; the first one he looked up and put in a measured cross straight to their defender, the second he had lots of space to run into but instead he played an early pass to a clearly offside Washington. Thankfully for Ipswich, the pass was so shit (again) that the linesman could keep his flag down as the defender was grateful for another perfect pass to his feet. And that was the sum total of his game today. Nothing else. And that’s pretty much the same every week. He offers nothing in defence and nothing going forward. He occasionally moans at the ref a bit and spreads his arms out every time he goes down when he’s (fairly) tackled. The red card a few weeks ago should have been his lot for Charlton yet it seems that it doesn’t matter how useless he plays or how dumb he is on the pitch, he still starts every game.8

sums up our awful season .. too slow, too unskilled, too easily outwitted, tactically all over the place and far too easily panic stricken .. a total post season clear out and overhaul is required .. fair play to the mass of travelling fans, the disappointment was palpable though defeat was not really unexpected, but the humour and good spirit never died .. EXCEPT for the mouse brain who somehow contrived to throw a red flare that landed under my seat, and I was near the back, never knew I had so many enemies lol .. thanks to the quick witted young man sat in front of me who grabbed the flare and threw it onto the side of the pitch, an olympian effort .. a young man near me was seriously complaining about the effects of the cloying smoke, cut it out please chaps
Next season MUST see some improvement .. Sandy, where's the money ??0 -

It’s not, none of it is. 4-0 against Ipswich, a team we almost always nick something off even when we’re bad, is a good summary of where we are. Burn it all. Keep the people who work in the ticket office and the groundsmen and sack off the rest. No mercy. I’d love a refreshed squad under Jackson to storm the league next season but it’s more likely we’ll just see the same again. What a life2

• Coming back to win after letting in the first goal.
• A front man scoring 20 goals
• wingers whipping in crosses
• midfielders shooting from outside the box.1 -

If we really do “have good core” of contracted players then we are a very long way from top 10 next year given the top 10 this year and the 3 coming down0
