Should of gone straight to general sale this will not sell out 5000 tops plus post will fuccing some up I haven’t had post for over 2 weeks
Sunday 6th March 1994
Things can only get better.
What with the way Charlton are selling tickets and travel. Sucess everyone think you will all be able to purchase your tickets. Now if it was casc as it was 1994 helping out as well no problem.
Not going myself. I will find TV link somehow just this once .
Coach tickets on the website say larkfield. I’m a regular coach user and am usually able to select Eltham. Is it the same coach?
just booked from Bexleyheath, use drop down box to choose departure point.
You not doing valley express mate?
I've registered interest on route 3 but wonder whether it's worth just booking valley away in case they don't put one on.
that's why I've done it. If they then do put one on the Hastings route I will email them asking to switch. Just wanted to ensure I was on a coach !! I'm driving to my brother's in Swanley and then on to Bexleyheath to get coach. Happy to pick you up en route?
I'm phase 1 but will be buying in phase 2 so our group can standsit together.
This will make general sale, 7,400 tickets is a huge allocation for a Tuesday night.
amended for you.
I can see this match is going to be a nitemare. Loads of people grouping together & not in their right seats. Then the standing issue (ok when there is a few hundred away at Oxford but not when 7 thousand are going). And these inconsiderate people are likely to have been drinking all afternoon & certainly not in the mood to be reasonable.
Carnage.
It's going to be all standing, it is for every sell out.
by 9.30pm when we are 5-0 down I expect a lot will have left. Might be able to sit down then.
@Airman Brown Do you know how many Valley away coaches they are likely to put on?
I’ve told them that they should plan for 20-plus and that it could potentially be double that and more. The problem isn’t getting coaches (in January) and at £30 they’ll be making £750-£1,000 per coach profit (plus their share of the match ticket sale). However, they won’t have the people to manage 1,000-2,000 coach passengers and they need to put that in place, which they may not be willing or able to do.
Worth bearing in mind that in 1994 we had three special trains returning on the day, as well as the coaches. In this case you’ll have a cohort of never-travellers who will only go by official coach - it’s not the majority, but it’s a decent number.
For the record, I’m going by train…
There’s very few people willing or able to step up and steward I would imagine and the fact that we run max 2 coaches for league games, means whoever does it will be thrown in at the deep end

Ah thanks mate that's really kind. I'll hold of for now as travelling up with my brother and need to confirm plans. Gonna get tickets sorted on Monday then sort the logistics.
Might even drive up and back myself to the game if can't sort a coach. Cheers for the offer though 👍
edit found them. When do they confirm pick up times
tickets at the top, then Valley away
Sorted, thank you. Managed to book from Eltham. Anyone know where the normal pick up from Eltham is? Assume will be confirmed with times nearer the day

Canterbury - Victoria Road, London Road by the roundabout (on A2050 facing into Canterbury)
Larkfield – Kingfisher Road sheltered bus stop, by Martin Square
Gravesend – bus stop by old A2 Tollgate underpass
Dartford (1) – Heath Lane, by retail park at junction with Princes Road
Bexleyheath – Hall Place car park
Bromley – Bromley North Station
Eltham – Well Hall Road junction with Dickson Road
Have booked coach so will just steam some pensioners for their tickets at a Welcome Break if I miss out online. Will post on here if I get more than I need and sell them on for a ton each if anyone's interested.
Will probably feel bad a bit and no doubt this will raise eyebrows amongst the holier than thou posters but you've got to think outside of the box in these sorts of situations.

I did 1994 but can't do this one. For TV, looks like my Virgin Media package gives me the option to subscribe to MUTV for one month for £7.00....

If it was live on there, then would that not be the same for Charlton TV?

Best if you stay at home, logon to Charlton Life and moan about Stockley.

Yes. This is another reason you use the VEX routes, where even if the regular steward isn’t going there will be people who are known.
i wouldn’t take any notice of how many coaches are shown on the system - that’s because it’s set up to manage demand for 1/2. With bigger numbers you have more flexibility and don’t need to run round SE London.
I suggested 12.30 for Charlton, Eltham, Bexleyheath and Dartford, midday for Bromley and 12.15 for Gravesend. Then VEX intervals back into Kent and Sussex to collect at Dartford etc as required. Be mad not to run the latter.

Bought two tickets online. I am a Valley Gold member, but I am because I want to support the Academy, not to gain priority for important matches. I agree with other posters that it should be loyalty points. I did pass this threshold as well, due to going to quite a few away games, but with this league, living in S Manchester, makes it a lot easier!

Please don’t feel bad. They would only spend 65 mins of the game being escorted to the toilet and the realise that they had actually gone 10 mins in to the game.
Bit disappointed, I’m a ST holder with Valley Gold, with 510 points. So I’m just 30 points off phase 1 but have to wait until phase 5 on Friday afternoon.
I’ve got 515 loyalty points, but tbh I think we’ll be absolutely fine.
Hope so as I’ve paid for the train ticket already. Hotel I can get refunded.

It's just nice to have a game that people actually want to go to watch for a change.

Knew this would happen with the greedy phase 1 tossers.
