amazing that were actually doing better than last season. Wtf has happened to our club?
Don't think that would have been the case if Garner had stayed in charge!

    Where did we finish 16/17?

Gills went down in fourth from bottom with 40 points, Morecambe stayed up with 42 points. If this is the same this season we are safe 👍
Fair point. But mad to think this is where we're at as a club, talking about relegation from League One.

Not really sure to be honest. It was clear he had enough of the BS quite quickly.

Was actually thinking today that we looked more dangerous going forward under Garner.

We conceded too many though. Got nothing against him as such but couldn't get this team to play his way and he wouldn't change. Just feelunder DH that we are more of unit...organised (for the most part) whilst uninspiring.

Highlight of the match was Ness’ tackle in the first half to deny Wednesday a goal. Deserved every bit of the applause he received.
  • Always thought Bannon a decent player, but never really put him down as a man of pace ... until I saw him up against Kilkenny.  Jeez that lad is slow.

It took us time to settle into the 352 but CBT asleep let his man go ,, Ness pulled out to help and goal poor goal but we kept in the game and second half think we were the better team and deserved a point .. but another poor miss this time from Leaburn in the end costs us the game
CBT again failed to supply one decent  cross the whole game including two great openings in the last mins to get a decent ball in the box but failed both times very very frustrating player

Just look at how well they did the basics. Their game management was exceptional.

Look at the pockets of space, in advanced positions, and the frequent early, accurate, and penetrative passes Barry Bannon played, and compare those with what the “Scottish Pirlo” had to offer.

Look at how well they were able to close down space, press the man on the ball, and have a spare man at nearly all times backing up in case the first defender was beaten by our man.

Look at the movement of their forwards, to create space, pull our defenders out of position, and get bodies into the box.

We are miles and miles off being good enough to get promoted. And I don’t think we are playing any better now than when Garner was sacked.

Holden seems a really good bloke, but we need a really good football manager. I’m not convinced it’s him, although anyone will continue to be hamstrung by this unbalanced, weak minded, and injury prone squad.

I want someone in charge who will drill a side like they were drilled today so we stop being easy meat for teams, because, make no mistake, although we only lost 1-0 that was, just like last week, and every other time we seem to play a good side, that was easy for Wednesday today.

Ronnie, he is a shit player, CBT being frustrating would be an improvement on the performances he subjects us to.

"I didn't think there was a lot in it in the first half". Fucking hell Dean, there's trying to be positive and then there's being delusional.

Remembering some of the comments after Kilkenny's first game, the new Cullen etc. He doesn't really do a lot does he?

My highlight was Sean Clare throwing the ball back in from the concrete ledge in front of the East Stand to Hector who just played on. I suppose there was nothing wrong with it but never seen anyone do that before.

That’s about all that will stick in the memory from that game.

The ball hitting the pigeon was the highlight for me. That and the crossbar challenge as per normal.

Will be tough to renew my season ticket if we still have the same management running the club.
We looked second best in every position, guileless, clueless. Think the pigeons were more of a threat to SW .

Stunned that people thought CBT played well..the guy can't cross his legs. That one at the end..whip it in..put some pace on it and it might flick someone and go in. Wingers should be able to cross....simple as that.
He is not a "winger". He simply has a bit of pace but as he is not a striker he has to play out wide. Same as JRS, although he has more guile & trickery.

    Neglected?

That adjective describes the club but not the team.

    Made me laugh though.

Highlight for me was getting in the Rad at 12
    And leaving at about 4.30
Seriously fucked of with going at the moment.
  • We're miles away from the top 6 - very depressing.

If he's not a winger or a striker, what is he?
    An attacking midfielder?

He is a winger. Pace gives him an advantage but it counts for nothing if you can't put decent balls in the box.

The Radical, working men's club in Plumstead. Been in there many a time with Jo's grandad and uncle back in the day.

looked to me like Hector tried beating his personal best of ‘how high can I kick a ball’ in the 2nd half
