How do we know that the Cheltenham press aren’t helping Cheltenham out by trying to attract a bidding war with derby or others? Saying we’ve agreed a deal when we actually haven’t.
Could those with links to whatever parts of the consortium please relay back the message that doing something to start the team rebuilding before receiving EFL approval is not only a necessity to protect their investment, but would do a world of good for their credibility.
If Aneke were to be fit enough to play in 35 games next season we would probably be in business. Is money to be spent on transfers, or intensive bionic medical intervention for Chucks? I’m not even sure what his physical problems are, does anybody know?
I agree Seth, with the money invested in him surely a second opinion would be in order. I am not saying that TS did not want to accept any cost in getting to the root cause of Chuks problems but it was very short sighted if that were the case.

Cawley reported that we’ve made an offer, I’m sure he’s validated that his end rather than just repeated what the Cheltenham press have said. He’s often denied we’re interested in players when asked, the Orient keeper being a recent example.
Quite often in a 352 teams have one defensive wing back and one more attacking. So it wouldn’t be unusual to have say Sessegnon right and CBT left of the 5.
This would surprise me. Feels like from all the comments from City that they're moving on from Ortega and Steffen and that Trafford is seen as the next big thing there.
Funny thing is if we had signed him you can guarantee all Charlton fans would say
"Typical Charlton only signing players from National League and League 2"
Now its not Charlton you will get
"Typical Charlton missed out on a superstar"
Truth is he has done fantastic at non league level but we don't know how he will adapt to league 1
And as people keep saying if we want to push for top 6 (I know its a dream but we can all dream) we need to bring players in who we know can play in this league and not punt on players who may be good but may fail

Did he though or did he just report that the local Cheltenham rag said that we had ?
I've not seen or heard any confirmation that we've even put a bid in for May let alone have had one agreed.
Same as usual on here - chinese whispers & people miss reading what had been posted.

"A bid has been made for Cheltenham Town’s prolific attacker Alfie May, who turns 30 next month."
Apparently Methven has offered Cheltenham Town an irresistable 0.003% share option in the Delaware Narcotics subsidiary of SE7 Partners which according to his calculations is worth about £5 million.
Cheltenham are said to be "considering the offer carefully" before telling him to "f%*k off"
The technical midfielder is versatile enough to do a number of jobs in the midfield and showed under Warburton he can be a goal threat as well.
At 26, he should have his best years ahead of him and a run of regular games may be just what he needs to begin to fulfill his potential.
His injury record is certainly a concern but there should be plenty of EFL sides, likely mid to low Championship or League One, that see landing him on a free transfer as an attractive proposition.
Archie Collins from Exeter would be a useful addition. Not the biggest but pretty tigerish and a decent range of passing. He made 45 appearances and , at only 23, is young enough to keep improving. He's out of contract so presumably on a number of club's radars but worth a look

Would be a good upgrade on Morgan, just hope there aren’t championship clubs interested

Where he's actually going to though isn't confirmed
I don't know much about young Trafford or is he Old Trafford 🤔

Would be a fantastic signing but it's Oxford

So he's reported a bid, not speculation thereof.

Source was drunk by the side of a swimming pool in Crete.
He’s a central midfielder, definitely an area we need to strengthen.
He ticks has a record of injuries box sadly.

Amos shouldn't be short of options this summer.
