  • SA win the toss and will bat
  • Shamsi in for Ngidi. Starc and Maxwell for Stoinis and Abbott.
  • Come on SA
  • Shocking start for SA. Starc and Hazlewood using the conditions superbly.

    8-2 off 5.4

  • Great toss to lose!
  • Whatever happened to the art of reading conditions before deciding what to do eh
  • This looks over already. SA are 22-3 off 11 overs.

This looks over already. SA are 22-3 off 11 overs.

If it wasn't before then it is now. 24-4 off 11.5

  • SA finish on 212 all out off 49.4 thanks to 101 (116) from Miller. Not enough but considerably better than they might have been given that horrific start of 24-4 off 12.
  • Hell of a knock from Miller. You just never know

  • Hazlewood bowling 8 overs for the loss of only 12 runs is incredible.
  • It always feels quite old school to me that Australia have exactly the same main pace attack in ODIs that they do in Tests.
  • Seriously, why did the Saffers have to wait 'til Australia got to 106 to bring Maharaj on? There hasn't been two left handers in for ages.
  • Also, it took him one ball to get the leftie out. 'Match-ups' obsession is thick as hell, especially on a turning pitch
  • How lucky was Labuschagne there?
  • Ponting is right about Shamsi's line. It's all very well turning it square but if you're going to start it on and outside leg you're just giving wides away
  • This is one hell of an effort by SA. Regardless of the result, they have certainly given it a go.
  • Interesting now at least

    140-5 off 24
  • Oh Smith what have you done!
  • If SA Could've just got 240/250 we could've had an all-time classic on our hands

  • Inglis gone. Still 20 needed with Starc and Cummins at the crease.
  • Five drops haven't helped the Saffers either
  • Anyone know why Rabada isn't bowling?
  • Australia win by 3 wickets with 2.4 overs to spare.

Another game where the player on the losing side (more than the other 10 batsmen put together and more than half as much again of any player in the match) should get the MOM but won't.
  • South Africa and New Zealand just being South Africa and New Zealand in the important part of a tournament

England's Richard Illingworth and Richard Kettleborough have been chosen as the on-field umpires for Sunday's Cricket World Cup final between India and Australia in Ahmedabad.
It will be the second time Kettleborough is in the middle for the showpiece occasion, with the 50-year-old previously stood alongside Kumar Dharmasena in the 2015 final in Melbourne.
Illingworth, 60, played in the 1992 World Cup final, also in Melbourne, which saw Pakistan defeat England.
The pair will be joined by Joel Wilson as third umpire, fourth umpire Chris Gaffaney and match referee Andy Pycroft.
  • Australia won the toss and elected to field on what is described as the "slowest pitch in the tournament"
  • Having been somewhat starved of the strike by Rohit, Gill pulls a shorter ball from Starc straight to mid on

    30-1 off 4.2
  • Incredibly difficult catch taken by Head over this shoulder running back to dismiss Rohit for 47 (31) off Maxwell

    76-2 off 9.4
  • 80-2 off 10. Despite the expensive PP, I think Australia would have taken that given the loss of both Indian openers. Get Kohli soon and they could become favourites
