I think it's generally accepted that, in the last 25 years or so, as a county, we have failed miserably to produce fast bowlers. In that time, Durham have succeeded in doing so with the likes of Kileen, Harmison, Plunkett, Onions, Stokes, Wood, Potts, Carse, Rushworth and Raine. Yesterday, two more from their production were on view against Surrey - 19 year old Daniel Hogg, James Minto, Durham's youngest ever First-Class cricketer at the age of 16, who did this to Rory Burns
Not good for the 2 players of course, but Essex have massively benefited in having 2 brilliant county championship bowlers in Cook and Porter that England aren't interested in.
