We offer so little going forwards, Kanu and May put in so much effort with hardly any support from the midfield. Bakinson was poor, Thomas's passing gets worse each week and our set pieces were dreadful. Nice to get a clean sheet but there's a lack of creative quality across the team. Only 2 teams won less games than us.

    Positives

    A clean sheet
    Sold defending
    Players busted a gut

    Negatives

    Wingback system creates nothing
    Little impact up front
Useless tactic having your top goalscorer taking corners
None if our players can cross
Right footed players on the left.

Shrewsbury 2 points better off by winning away at Reading. At some point WE NEED TO  WIN

Who was the tackle in the box late on? Quality

    Good hustle, lads
    Gillesphey.
Thanks, couldn’t see who it was from the Covered End. Brilliant tackle that probably won us a point.

    Isted’s been quality.
But I though people were certain he wasn't good enough for L1 after seeing him play 5 games at the start!

Still yet to lose a game when super Chuks has featured. Think that’s up to 9 games now.

Have a look at Pompey's goals for column, they've been scoring for fun but they didn't quite manage it today. That's a great performance and if we can get a point at Derby then we would have collected three points against the top sides, nobody would have had us down for that. Still a way to go and we need to get a win as soon as possible.

I watched a piss poor game of football I'm not going to sugar coat it because we got a point off the league leaders when we are so precariously placed above the relegation places playing a shit formation that creates no chances for our forwards.

Fancied us for a point today and still think we go on a little run from Northampton onwards. I thought both sides lacked quality but that's the sort of football you need to play in our position.

Anderson and Kanu really putting themselves about again. Improvement from Anderson these last few games is brilliant

Lloyd Jones take a bow, won practically every header. Defence kept it tight all game to be fair. Isted made some good saves too. Battling performance which is encouraging to see. Couple of wins early in March will help ease the pressure.

We did create chances though. Just like we did last week

He needs to let Bishop out of his pocket so he can get on the team bus home

Total turn around in mentality. We’re like a proper team for the first time in years I’d say.
We looked organised and confident (front footed as NJ would say).
I hope they continue to play with the same agressive confidence when we’re up against the lesser lights. I think we will.
If we can stay up then I really fancy us to have a very strong season next time out.
    COYRs

Would also add; Jones and Isted class but I also really like REG and Small.
MG gets a chance now with Jones out then hopefully Thomas sits out when Jones comes back.

We are much better organised now, better defensively, keep our shape and stick to the game plan but we have nothing going forward. Jones, Anderson and Isted all outstanding but Jones nicked the MOM. Shame he's missing now for two games. And what a tackle from Gillesphey, take a bow son.

But he's not wrong. Those two short corners we took were criminal.

    This.

We can nick points here & there but at the end of the day we still havent won in 15 games.

2 draws gets you 2 points.
    1 win & 1 defeat gets you 3 points.

Very funny that in our worst ever season and Pompey's best in a very long time they still haven't been able to get a win off us. They must be praying they go up and we go down just to put as much space as possible between us.

Great to see Jones perform so well after a really shaky opening. Anderson has looked transformed and you now wouldn't leave him out. Keep up this effort and energy and the wins will come.

Solid performance. I just hope Jones can keep building the confidence levels even without wins.
Alfie is looking like being a bit of a casualty in the Jones regime. Maybe we were playing a system to suit him a bit too much previously and it was costing us defensively?I don't know.
But it's all about the clean sheets for me and hopefully we will scrape a bit of creativity from somewhere in the run in.

    Positive interpretation: 3 games unbeaten
Negative interpretation: haven't actually won a game for ages.

Definitely seeing improvements and overall very impressed with the Jones effect but we really do need to start turning 1 point into 3 quite quickly.
