Just watched God's of Tennis on RTE.
    Focusing on Bjorg v McEnroe.
Forgot how much I loved Bjorg even before I knew he was a Charlton fan.
I was a kid, 6 when he won Wimbledon first but I just loved him in that fila kit.
So sad he felt he had to stop playing at 26 because he couldn't handle the intrusion into his private life.

He still is absolutely gorgeous 😍

Novak has a chip on his shoulder because he has never had the affection that Federer and Nadal have, although he has won more slams. He is playing very well, dont write him off for the title.

Now that has knocked some of the shine off my afternoon.  I didn't expect Mr Boulter to seriously trouble Novax but I was looking forward to Centre Court's reaction to his latest faux pas.
He wasn't warmly received there until his tennis genius was firmly established but breach Wimbledon's unwritten etiquette standards and the crowd gets very chilly very quickly.
Add to that a few pissed up hoorays by mid afternoon and the best he could hope for was a frosty reception.  Any reaction from Novax could see the atmosphere darken quickly indeed.
If he feeds off the hostility, he'll get plenty of motivation on Friday for his semi.

On a lighter note, dodgy hip notwithstanding, Alex de Minaur is one lucky devil is he not?

Alex de Minaur hurt his hip on the penultimate point of his Quarter final.

Shame for Alex as he is a road runner type of player and though I doubt he would've won he may've pinched a set off of Sensitive Novak. Djokovic now has two days off.
Just heard his interview and he is gutted with this problem which may keep him out for 6 weeks.

I agree with Billy Mix and say ADM is one lucky lad in having a 6ft fit athletic long legged Girlfriend and British number 1 in Katie Boulter.

A very poor quality qf atm. I can't see either of then troubling Djokovic.

But Djokovic will also have to play against the Centre Court Ultras which will level things  ;)

especially if he doesn't have to play a QF.

Mind you, if he doesn't win, what part of his body will have a foot long tear that is fine by the Olympics? That said, doesn't he even claim that even when he wins?

The Olympics is the only thing Djokovic hasn't won.

Two top women semi finals going 3 sets with the underdogs on grass winning after losing the 1st sets and looking 2nd best.

Krejcikova v Paolini in a Wimbledon final was a very long shot.
Paris clay maybe but not in SW19.

Alcaraz never seems that grass is his best surface but so talented and has the ability to go up a gear during the match while his opponent's suffer.

Exactly what happening today against the giant Russian Medvedev after losing the 1st set is now about to serve for the 3rd to go 2-1 up.

The Wimbledon crowd actually booooooooing 🤦‍♂️ Djokovic after he wins and pretends to play the violin (he said previously he does this for his daughter who has started to learn to play it the other day )
too many bellends about , still the 🐐 can win as many titles as he wants he’s still a touchy bellend too

Congratulations Henry Patten, men's doubles champion. A new name for me.

It must be frustrating for Jamie Murray that he never won the Wimbledon men's doubles, seeing that various British players have won it this century. Marray in 2012, Skupski last year and Patten this year.
