Can we stop it with the political shit please. This thread is for jokes, not a back door into boring us all with your political opinions. A one-off, genuine funny, might just about be acceptable. Carpet bombing loads of stuff absolutely isn't. Please cease and desist. Thank you.

[edit - for anyone wondering what this post is about, it doesn't refer to the next post up, but to a whole bunch of them that I've had to waste my time deleting]

    Thank fuck.
it has took long enough to delete enough of the left leaning unfunny ones.
Just needed a right one for you to post.

Today, I saw a dwarf climbing down a prison wall. I thought to myself, that's a little condescending

Please explain how we know what's political satire and what's just political opinions?

If you don't feel confident making that distinction, wouldn't the simplest solution be not to post anything political in this thread?

No.  I'd rather post what I think is funny and if it upsets anyone, I couldn't care less.  It's supposed to be a joke thread, not a deep and meaningful conversation.  If you don't find something I post funny, just scroll on past, that's what I'd do for someone else's joke.

I was genuinely trying to answer the question you posed, but as you're now saying you're just going to post whatever you want regardless, I'm not really sure what the point of asking the question was.

If you want an outlet for what you think is funny or your political views, there's a wide range of social media available that are ideal for that. This site, on the other hand, is a community run by volunteers. It seems a little inconsiderate to not respect the requests of those volunteers to avoid political jokes.

And yet all the anti-Argentine jokes are very political but very funny to some people, me included.

By the way, the point of my question was to point out the problem of trying to police jokes.

  • According to Oxford historian George Garnett, the Bayeux Tapestry features 93 penises.  Any more on this panel?

I think it was a missed opportunity that Minnie Driver wasn't in the remake of The Italian Job.

A very annoyed diner said “Waiter, your thumb was in my soup”

I”I put it there to keep it warm, sir” replied the waiter

“Why didn’t you just shove it up your arse”

”I do that in the kitchen sir”

My wife says I’m too paranoid about smart devices, and I simply watch too many films where machines turn against humanity.
The other day I told my wife a joke in the kitchen. She laughed, I laughed, the toaster laughed; I shot the toaster…good times.
